The service was great but the sushi is nothing to write home about. It was kind of dry and not too flavorful

During our "not so great stay at the Marriott" across the street, we were walking to starbucks in this past rain storm since it closes at 11 in the hotel and after we were walking back and seen this japanese/BBQ place and decided to go. We chose to eat outside in the rain storm as it was covered and they... More

Happy hour from 5 to 6:30 was great for foods and drinks. There are many items in the happy hour and very low in price though taste is very good.

The place is not fancy to look at and was full. No wonder! The sushi/sashimi melt in your mouth. I can still taste the horseradish. Try the mango Michigan balls.

Just had a business lunch here. Very tight seating inside with a fishy smell. Food was good and the place was packed during the lunch hour. Service was slow and we had to keep asking for our food. Overall just a so so experience.

Service slow but portions were big and sushi was first rate. Spent $35 tip incl on a great and very filling lunch. Sashimi special and a drink.

We were at the big characterless hotel next door and wanted something a bit more fun and casual to eat so walked over the road intending to go Mexican but found this place. It was rammed lots of students and loud music so we gave it a go. The place was on fire with the staff serving at a run.... More

When travelling to La Jolla last Spring, I dined here and 3 days later my AMEX card was used illicitly to credit a Japanese telecommunications Company. I was suspicious as I had only used the card twice otherwise and on those occasions it never left my hand. At Nozomi, the waiter took the better part of 5 minutes to return... More

In town for business and this location was close to work. Ordered sushi to go for lunch and it was pretty good. Not comparable to some of my favorites, but I would definitely order here again for lunch as the casual atmosphere is nice and they offer both inside and outside seating if you are eating in. I thought putting... More

Ok ish place, sat outside but it's a strange location. Food was ok but not great. Lots of Sushi to chose from but also BBQ - rather a strange mix. Service was good. Price not too bad. Could do better of food quality.

Thank Richard H
