A random stop for a late lunch but what a great find! Great thin crust pizzas with decent toppings. The furniture is a bit basic but the welcome was warm & pizza excellent. I'd choose this little restaurant over a chain place any day.

My wife grew up going to this little pizza joint in La Jolla. It has picnic tables fro seating and the place hasn't changed in all the 35 year that I have been going there. The pizza is a very thin crust and pretty greasy,...More
This was a perfect little restaurant with great pizza. My 17 year old son & I had a really nice dinner for a very reasonable price.
If your a thin crust lover like me you will love this pizza. Stiff as board crust that wasn't really crunchy. That's not easy to do. Throw back hole in the wall atmosphere. Limited seating, six booths and two tables. Why weird then. We showed...More

Carino's has been around for EVER and has the most amazing pizza, I dont think the place has changed at all from the day it opened!
You'll feel like Frank Sinatra in this old Italian joint. Red table cloths, hanging wine bottles. So much fun! The food is traditional Italian. There is a ton of cheese on the pizza, no kidding!
Every time I'm in town I stop here at least once. It's a little hole in the wall, but well worth the visit. I've heard their lasagna is amazing too, but after I ordered pizza the first time, I'm never going back. Very divey, dimly...More

This is not bargain pizza but it is delicious. I was a bit surprised by the prices but the food was very good. A vegetarian pie sans cheese satisfied the nouveau vegans in our crew while the rest of us chowed down on a tomato-topped...More
