Nothing special; a little overpriced for the quality of the food. Had the fish tacos and they were decent.

Three of us enjoyed cocktails at the bar while looking out unto the shoreline before dinner. Two TVs aired football keeping everyone happy ( no to low volume, good for atmosphere) Dined with calamari, filet migon, sea bass, scallops. Only two drawbacks I tasted red coconut rice dry or reheated and my beet salad soaked in dressing. However that said,... More
It was our last day in La Jolla and we wanted to end it with an awesome happy hour with a stunning sunset view. The reviews of the Shores led me to believe it would be so. First of all, the outside seating is not on the beach as I mistakenly understood from some reviews. It's on the beach line... More
We invited friends of ours who live in Oceanside to dinner at the Shores Restaurant in mid-December -- selecting it based on its proximity to where we were staying in La Jolla as well as on other Trip Advisor reviews. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. When we arrived on a Thursday evening around 6 PM, we found that... More
Seven months after a previous review, the rating stays the same. The location is still first-rate, right on a major San Diego/La Jolla beach. We found this restaurant while just walking around on the beach in La Jolla. What a wonderful surprise. The service was excellent. The food was very delicious. I will definitely want to return next time I am in the area.
Any chance I get, I love eating here and love bringing new friends here. The food is always excellent and the view on the beach and ocean is spectacular. Always a hit when I bring new guests here.
This is the place right on the beach where I've spent many pleasant Happy Hours, enjoying Magaritas, half price apps. and the sunset. DIshes like like fish tacos and quesadillas were tasty. Had lunch once years ago, Place has changed ownership, maybe more than once, over twenty-five years.
