Lots of parking in front. Has lots of choices in Mexican foods; excellent quality. Service is excellent.

I stopped in one afternoon for a quick bite. I tried their wild salmon tacos and was hooked. I went back several times afterward to try their wild salmon burrito and a special offering of wild Mahi Mahi tacos. The food is consistently good and well worth the modest prices. I especially liked the variety of salsas offered and the... More

rubios is a great place if you have large groups, just came up from the beach. This place is a Mexican and it is very cheap and value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids, families, or big groups. Or if you are just looking for a quick snack to eat or something cheap and fast... More

This Rubio's location has never been especially good, but in my last visit, the portions were smaller and the service was poor. I used to enjoy Rubio's fish taco's, but not anymore.

Never returning to this restaurant. The employees were nice and efficient. However, I ordered a cheese enchilada combination plate. Beans and rice were fine. The cheese in the enchilada only filled about 50% of each tortilla. I feel that I was robbed! Never again. I have been to other Rubio's around S.D and this has never been a problem. NO... More

We stopped in for lunch while visiting La Jolla. This was a great compromise since we all wanted different things. The prices were a little higher than normal for fast food, but the food was really good and filling. It is much better than other fast foods. The kids meals are large and we all loved the salsa bar.

ALWAYS good, fresh, fast Mexican food at multiple locations throughout San Diego. Try the grilled gourmet tacos! Salads are delicious, too! We go there at least twice a week!

We stopped in at Rubio's after hanging out at La Jolla Cove. It's like fast food, but a little bit better! The menu is pretty big. I had the Original Fish Taco and the Gourmet Shrimp Taco and they were both great. I thought the shrimp taco was a lil too high priced, but the taste was worth it. My... More

You have to try the Gourmet Shrimp Tacos: Toasted mozzarella, jack and white cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado and cilantro/onion layered with two chile sauces. They have a winner and it's worth the wait.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
