We were sooo hungry after a day spent at the zoo when we finally checked in to our motel in La Jolla. The desk attendant had mentioned Public House if we wanted pub food. It sounded good so we took a little walk there. The prices are a little high, but that is to be expected in La Jolla as... More

..., what can go wrong? Nothing really! The beers were excellent, very good selection of foreign beers or foreign "style" beers from microbreweries around the area and further afield. And the burgers we chose were the 10 oz New Zealand Kobe Wagyu burger and the sliders (3x3 oz) of the same brand. All very good and nothing to complain about,... More

We went here for lunch and not only enjoyed the food and beer, but had a great time as well. We had a 3 year old with us and she and the server had quite an interesting conversation. The server was also very helpful recommending beers and was very friendly. My daughter and I ended up both having the Garlic... More

Needed a quick and simple dinner after arriving in La Jolla after a hard week at work - did not want anything high maintenance. This smallish pub - located just off Fay at Bishops Alley in what seems to be an old cottage - fit the bill. Kind of a chilly patio, but basically a cozy spot. Outstanding burger and... More

We love to go to this restaurant. The service is great. We always eat the Fish and Chips, sometimes with sweet potato chips. We have never been disappointed. They have a very good selection of beers.

Just be careful with the beer. As a home brewer, I firmly believe they served me home brew beers. They said they were blonde beers, but they were full of crap. They were draught home brew beers. Very cloudy and very draughty. $8 bucks and screaming a bad home brew beer. I have brewed a lot better home brew beers. I... More

Went more for the beer but the food held up well too. Good beer options along with tasters. Food highlight was the pork belly sliders a much try. Service was relaxed and friendly.

This is a good pub, a little off the beaten track. Burgers and beers are very good, as is the friendly service. We sat outside, where there is a good atmosphere. Michael, Nottingham

Simple place, nice seating outdoors and you can take the dog with you! Good selection of craft beers and a solid selection of food - well cooked, decent burgers!
