Visiting Malerklemmen is like visiting af private home the way the rooms are furnished and decorated. The food is excellent, the service quick and polite so what more can you wish. When the wether allows it you can sit under the parasols in the yard, which we did when we had our coffee. If you go the by train you... More

Went for the Boxing Day Christmas Buffet. It was a busy day, but the buffet was always, for hours refilled every couple of minutes, the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The service was friendly and personal, plates cleared as soon as finished, but never rushed. The atmosphere is cozy and decor is that of a museum. Amazing collection by... More

This is a great place, especially around christmas time, to relax and be with family and friends. I suggest sticking with the delicious "æbleskiver" (traditional pan fried pastry) with either gløgg (mulled wine), coffee or some tea from their rather large selection. They do have a buffet and it looked acceptable but I have never tried it.

I have been a number of times over the years, primarily for the "æbleskiver" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Æbleskiver , whichever were very good and made with buttermilk instead of yeast so very filling as well. The coffee was also very well made. The buildings and location is also worth a visit, as it is a 1750's farm house built in the traditional style.

Nice and cozy countryside farmhouse-like Restaurant in the outskirt of the woods. Excellent food, 'sweet' specialities like 'æbleskiver' (sort of pancakes), rich selection of tea's and coffee's. Go for a walk in the woods and treat Yourselves afterwards in the Malerklemmen.

An oldfashionen thatched farmhouse decorated with all that belongs to the aera, semi antique, but delightfull. A small shop selling teas, and you can buy different sorts of frozen game meat at the bar.... More
