Great BBQ and their coleslaw and other accouterments are good too--biggest serving of coleslaw I've ever had. Ambiance is tired, seems like they haven't upgraded the decor for a few decades. Service excellent on my most recent visit, and prices are in line.

I was staying in Hayward the night before flying home from San Francisco and this place was within walking distance of my hotel. It was late and there were only a couple of other diners so it seemed quite quiet inside, but there was still a nice diner-type atmosphere and the server was welcoming and friendly. There were lots of... More

Comfortable at the counter for one. Or take the family and sit in a booth. The service is excellent at either place.

Great BBQ and the usual accouterments such as coleslaw and beans, though we don't go often due to the lack of vegetables.

This place is a 2 min. walk from the Hampton and is an older establishment. The booths are a little worn, but the open kitchen looked very clean. I had a "special" which included a 3 egg scramble with spinach, mushrooms, sausage and a pepper jack cheese. Yummy! The potatoes were a bit spicy for my taste, but still delicious.... More

The BBQ guy needs to go! The meat is so dry!! Almost like eating beef jerky. This place is more for the old retired breakfast crowd not for the BBQ enthusiast. Really wish they'd fork out the money and change but there stuck in the 60's(check out the decor of the restaurant).

My husband and I eat out allot. We have come to Emil Villas for many years and never have we been disappointed. The quality of the food is surpassed by none. It is pricy but we do not mind because of the quality.

This restaurant has been in the same location since the 50"s and the food and decor are probably not much different from the earlier years. The interior looks like an old fashioned diner with counter seating and booths.. First impression may be that it is shabby and that it could probably use some fresh paint and a little sprucing up,... I went a couple of times since I was staying at a hotel nearby for a business trip. Tried both the BBQ pork sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were absolutely delicious! Loved the Cole slaw as a side to the BBQ and would recommend something other than the potato salad as a side unless you really love mayonnaise. Also... More

This is just my opinion especially since everyone has different taste. The atmosphere was clean and had an old fashion diner look to it kinda warm inside for my taste. Server was very prompt and nice not much of a conversation starter but was good for me. I ordered the sausage and triple cheese omelette and it had ok flavor... More
