Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What can i say, we were impressed with the tavern offerings. We were not sure what to expected when we booked our lodging at Rush Creek and saw they had a tavern and restaurant. Since it was early september and a bit on the slower...side, only the tavern was open. We had awesome servers, excellent appetizers and entrees. Loved the cocktails, wine as well. The "What a fig" cocktail was a winner. Loved that they had my favorite Dalwhinney scotch as well. It was busier than they expected, so they had to figure out tables for folks so we ate at a communal table at the bar one nite. Two other nights when we ate at the tavern we ate outside, and it was just beautiful.More

The food was good, the staff was friendly and it wasn't super expensive.. the only recommendation i'd have is a bit more variety (or specials) since it's the only food around the park entrance.

The lodge was a perfect base for a Yosemite trip, especially if you travel with children. The facilities were brilliant.

Bolognese Pasta and lamb schwarma were so delicious. We also loved that there was a kids buffet for our hungry toddlers to start eating right away!

Food was really, really good. We ended up eating the cauliflower appetizer with every single dinner. Be ready for long wait times as they work through peak season with not enough staff.

We stayed at the Lodge for three days and ate and drank here every day. Yes the menu is (very) limited right now, with Covid supply chain and staff shortages, but the food is great. Yes the prices are high, but the portions are big...so you can share and not feel like you've been cheated. We shared several small plates every night and were full. We loved ordering at the tavern bar. Sam, the bartender, was great! We loved sitting outside on the deck, which is considered take out since there isn't table service out there. Being outside, in the fresh air, overlooking the pool and trees, was worth it. Plus it was much quieter than inside. (Note, I was not looking for a five star table-service experience. I like the self-sufficiency of ordering myself instead of waiting for someone to come to the table. The bartenders were very responsive when I was waiting to order food.)More

This is a good restaurant but just did not hit the spot for us. Portions are very large. We shared the beet salad and it was enough for four people. We should have ordered the beef tocos and had a few drinks and that would...have been plenty. Also it was a bit noisy.More

Nice setting, but limited overprice food options. Not many healthy options either. Service lacks consistency and quality.

This property is definitely more on the higher end, and prices in the restaurant reflect that--but you can get a very good pizza there!

Great facilities; great bar & Rec Room. Super clean rooms and excellent service from every dept. Make sure to take advantage of their Tour Svc of Yosemite Park. Ask for Landon, if he’s available. Knowledgeable, accommodating, and eager to make sure you enjoy your experience.

Severely understaffed and only one restaurant with limited menu (same menu for lunch and dinner) - plus always out of some dishes - even out of OJ for breakfast (we are in CA, land of oranges!)

Only restaurant on site but everything on the menu is delicious. Definitely get the Fried Cauliflower. Highly recommend the Carnitas Rice Bowl, Burrata and Mac and Cheese. Breakfast is great as well. Great servers.

The food was surprisingly good and the staff is fantastic. The prices aren't as high as you might fear and it makes it so you should have no problem eating all your meals here instead of scavenging for food elsewhere during your stay.

Pub food. We liked the green salads. It's nice to mix wonderful times outdoors with wonderful food to eat and this isn't quite it.

The lodge itself is fabulous and I was hoping the food would match. The restaurant area is huge with high ceilings and lots of light. The bar area is more intimate. Very nice settings. However, the food was not great. I had a grilled cheese...for dinner; Julie had a salmon burger. Good but not the quality I would have expected. They did have a nice draft beer selection, however. Breakfast was similarly below what I would have expected. I had the hash and it was mostly peppers, onions and spuds (and the eggs were not poached.) It was a large serving, but no great shakes, Julie had the smoked salmon toast and her reaction was the same. This said, I do not think this is reflective of the fact that the place has a captive audience (there is no other place to eat for miles.) I think it is just the quality level of the kitchen.More
