Haven't been there for atleast five years. Was always awesome and reasonable for a great steak house. WOW! Very expensive for what we had. It was friday night about 6:30-7:00 and they were out of prime rib,out of mashed potatoes,Husbands new york steak look like a small steak sandwich,my stuffed chicken was barely stuffed (tasted ok) , other couple ordered... Charming restaurant and bar. Take advantage of the happy hours in the bar during the week. From the cook to the waiter to the rack of lamb or prime rib, we enjoy it all! Also try the blue boy bread!

The Owl is an old establishment with an interest history and even a ghost!. If you want a great steak this is the place to go. Try the billy blue bread.

After 30 years we were invited to go out to the Owl for dinner. Haven't been in over 30 years. OMG, what a delight to have dinner here again. Greeted immediately, seated promptly. Water, bread and drinks brought within 5 minutes. (recommend the blue cheese appetizer!) I had the Chicken Marsala with garlic mash. Chicken tender, vegies cooked to perfection.... More

Dropped in for a late dinner after a long day. Enjoyed a perfect dirty martini in a cozy booth and enjoyed a delicious salmon dinner. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to return soon.

Good food, great atmosphere, welcoming, friendly staff. We were in town for a car show and my husband wanted a steak. He had the ribeye and said it was the best he had in a long time. We are going to the car show again next year and will make a point to go back.

I placed a to go order tonight. I ordered their JR's chicken which I had once before and really enjoyed it. It had a really good creamy champagne sauce. My to go order had 0 sauce and the chicken was way over cooked. The veggies were also over cooked and cold- I paid $28 for a terrible meal.

We stop here for lunch when we're in town & really love the food. April delivers great service & does an amazing job of taking orders , delivering food, tending the bar & cleaning the tables. Their chowder is great and my husband loves their portobello mushroom burger. The blue bread is out of this world & fish & chips... More

A friend and I visited historic Grass Valley on a warm day, and the cool interior of the Owl looked inviting after all that sun. We stopped in mid afternoon and ordered two old fashioned phosphates. What fun! The Owl Grill and Saloon is also known as The Owl Tavern. This is truly an historic site; the original saloon opened... More
