We were only in Fmt for a couple of days, from Oregon, and ate here both nights. It was irresistible. Goat Karahi was so good we had it both nights. Also Chicken Ginger and Saag Chicken and naan. Cuisine is Northern Indian and Pakistani. Diners are 95% men. Music is deafening but we endured, as where we live there is... More

The room is kind of dumpy, but that isn't an issue for a casual lunch. Had Goat Karahi and Saag Chicken. They were just ok. The Onion Kulcha was bad; really packed with very smelly onion. They do not take reservations. It's not really that cheap.I will not be back.

We always had delicious dishes here every time we came, from shishkabobs to curries. The naans (only a dollar ea) are fresh out of the hot tandoori stove everyday. Prices are very reasonable. The only negative is it is very busy and ordering could take a while, quite inefficient.

Busy and family orientated with a good variety of items on the Menu freshly prepared and delicious. The Chicken Tika Masala was spicy and not swimming in oil with pieces of moist chicken . The Jalfrezi with the Garlic naan was plentiful and tasty. It is noisy but that is not unexpected when you enter this type of busy restaurant... More

Every large town has one, and this is by far Fremont's best version of a moghlai restaurant. I should ideally deduct a star as the food quality varies a little. The Seekh Kabab, Boti and Tandoori are well made. Of the curries, I would recommend the Bhuna Lamb, and the ubiquitous Chicken Karhai as firm favorites.

This is not the place to go and find your bearings if you're unfamiliar with the cuisine or the restaurant. I'm not hung up on "dining experience," because I'd rather have good food than fancy atmosphere. Shalimar, though, is punishing if you want to relax, savor the food, or not shout to be heard by staff or companions. I'm happy... More

I would frequent this place much more often if the guy in the front would not be there! He has no manners and only sees dollar signs instead of people. Food is good, but many times I don't want to deal with that jerk so I take my business elsewhere. Place needs a make over, very dated restaurant.
