Yep classy. Hop Sings is the epitome American Chinese food. The tall ceiling of and gold rush era building decorated in Art Deco colors of the 30's (you must see the Pink room). The service is always friendly and the food is pleasantly affordable and tasty.

This place has great tasting food and large portions at a fair price. The service is exceptional and the Peking Ribs are the best.

It seems lately that Asian cuisine is too "fast food", with not much flavor. We spent a couple of hours walking across the bridge and through the stores on Sutter Street. The delicious smell from Hop Sing Palace sent us searching for the source. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was warm and cozy on this rainy day. Service was... More

Located in Old Town Folsom, a friend and I had lunch here and I ordered chow fun - a dish I usually order. The menu only listed beef chow fun, but they were very accommodating and substituted my preference - chicken. The food arrived promptly, was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and the restaurant and bathroom... More

This place serves the most quantity of food but the quality is not as per par to some other chinese resturants i have been. I tried lots of dishes there and i will say they all were ok.

The ambience of this restaurant, especially for a Chinese restaurant can't get any better. It's a historic building and, in part, that is what has been drawing us to this place We've been coming here since 1988 and not much has changed. It's Cantonese family-style dinners served by friendly staff. The food is always good and piled high. Great service,... More

Family and I were excited about this visit. However the food failed our expectations. We ordered a combination platter which contained several different dishes. None of which contained much flavor. Only highlight was the food prices. However, I would gladly pay more for less quantity and higher quality. - Blogger AM21

Hop Sing Palace is one of the older restaurants on Sutter street. The decor is a mix of what you would expect gold rush Chinese. Owners are very nice and the service is always good. Best dish are the egg rolls, some of the best I have ever had. The other dishes fall into good but not great. The food... More

I eat here often. I've visited restaurants all over the United States and This one is my favorite. Their food is tasty and abundant. Much better than any other Chinese food I've had. My entire family eats here and bring friends here. We all love this place. It may not be the top quality some people look for, but it... More
