Good food choices on the happy hour menu, good values on the drink specials, we will be back again! Nice seating upstairs near the windows

Solace had been recommended to us by locals. We had reservations about this restaurant when we were escorted upstairs. It was very noisy and busy, with several large families eating there. We were offered a table outside on a verandah. It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed the ambiance. Our seafood was properly cooked and the service was good.

Great ambiance. Super service. Good location. Fabulous sunset view on the deck. Food, just so so. We had the biscuits. They must have been made yesterday. They were hard and not warm. Smokey tomato relish was spot on. Arugula salad, the grapefruit was tart, the dressing was tart, the cheese was tart. It needed balance. The Signature sea bass was... More

Fun, hip place! Menu is yummy and unique - cheddar biscuits were yummy! Loved the burrata salad, and enjoyed the fish of the day. Friend had quinoa and loved it too. We chose to sit upstairs which meant we had to cancel our other reservation for downstairs. But it was worth it - sat outside and enjoyed the night air... More

Dinner there for 16 of us. Handled the group very professionally, with few waits. When there was a delay with my meal (Arugula salad with chicken breast), the restaurant did not charge me for the chicken. Oysters were delicious, with a good selection. Great wine list, with many non-California wines (thankfully)

The upstairs bar area is the best spot to be here. It's an energetic place sometimes but mellow others. Great cocktails, wine, beer and especially food. They occasionally have live music which is a bonus. Nice outdoor deck. Overall this is my first choice for an afternoon cocktail, lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy but nice and fun with great food.... When my wife has a business lunch, this is the place she chooses. OK, parking in the area can be a little tough no matter when you are there (dinners and weekends, especially), so add a little extra time and patience. It will be worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating, upstairs and down. On a nice day, the upstairs patio... More

Four of us had a delicious meal here, but were surprised by the (over)priced menu. Two burgers, muscles (appetizer) and 1/2 bottle of wine and the bill was close to $100. We made reservations and therefore were seated downstairs, but the "action" is all upstairs however a very long wait. In the future - I would come here for a... More

Here is a jewel tucked away in old downtown Encinitas. Nice roomy seating. Wonderful atmosphere. Outstanding service. The food was outstanding. Everyone got something different so we could get a fair overall opinion. Everything was simply wonderful. Fresh tasting clean crisp flavors, and the presentation great. I had the mustard crusted sea bass. It was perfect. It wasn't the best... More

Had dinner reservations on Sunday at 5 p.m. to meet old friends. We hadn't seen each other in a couple of years. Our server was very patient as we caught up with each other, after a half hour of catching up she suggested some appetizers, she was well spoken, and accommodating, we started with meat and cheese platter to pair...
