My first time visiting Palermos was fantastic from the food to the service. I felt I was in a Sicilans home having a great meal. My family roots are from the city the restaurant is named after and the food was the same. Simple and yet so flavorful. You'll come back again and again.

Palermo used to be located on University Avenue in Palo Alto. It has now moved to a strip mall in Elk Grove. Don't let the location fool you, this place has great food and service. The couple that own it are genuine and are obviously adored by their clientele. He cooks, she is the hostess. Oh, and they have been... More

This restaurant has always been quirky, but our recent Valentine's Day visit for dinner was a disappointment. Service was poor (server was very slow, lost our order, etc.) and the food was barely warm, which caused the crab ravioli sauce (usually tasty beyond words) to have an unappealing congealed appearance. We're hoping that it was just the special occasion that... More

Ciao Alex...Appreciate your feedback and apologize for your unfortunate experience. Valentine's Day is one of the busiest, if not the busiest, night for our entire year. We do our best to accommodate everyone on these busy nights but it can be tough when you have a small staff. I can assure you we have not "gone downhill" by any means.... More

This family run restaurant reflects their love of preparing excellent food for dinner guests. They made sure everything we ordered was just right.

It is different kinda of food to me. Perhaps, it would be referred to as gourmet or fancy, I don't know. It was good and it is a romantic place, I think. It is a very nice experience.

We have visited Palermo on many, many occasions. We especially love the bar which is very cozy and has a romantic ambience. The house salad is wonderful with slices of orange and fresh tomatoes- very refreshing! The lasagna is some of the best you'll have and it's the biggest piece of Lasagne I have ever seen in my life!! We... More

Lovely, family owned. They care about what is served, how their patrons value their experience. Good food. Atmosphere is a bit sterile. Location is good but in strip mall makes it seem stark & bland. You won't be disappointed though.

The owner is always there to greet patrons, kiss the ladies' hands, and knows my name. The menu is the same and quality usually consistent.
