This is the same Chris and Pitts food I remember from the 70’s, but in a different location. The restaurant looks the same. The food is delicious. Service was wonderful with a very attentive server. They have kept the same menu, food from when the...restaurant started. They have daily specials which are priced reasonably. Parking is ample and free.More

We revisited a church we were involved with in the 70’s. Disappointing. Had lunch here. Also disappointing. Either they have slipped or I have higher standards these days. And who’s idea is it to cut chicken across the bone?

Let me start by saying the restaurant is a bit old looking kind of reminds of a lodge. So don't judge it by it's looks. If your looking for some great bbq this is the place. The lines can be long but go very fast, the service...is good.I've been going here for over 20 years and still love the taste of the foods. The soup I love is beef barley, salads are nice and crisp(ranch is excellent ) the burgers are thick juicy and big,bbq chicken and beef spare ribs are very good(don't care for house bbq sauce get them hawaiian style, the best bbq sauce)These are my favorite but they have many other choices from onion flower or onion rings as appetizers, steaks(rib eye,etc.)fish.They also have daily speacials and a excellent kids menu.Give them a try you won't be disappointed.More

This location has a feel that welcomes guests and makes them feel welcome. Helps one feel like they have gone back in time. The food is good steak is good and reasonably priced. The broasted chicken is excellent but takes 20 min so order it...when you get your drinks. Service was fast and friendly.More

Place has solid food but nothing that would qualify as gourmet. I had the beef barely soup which was good but very salty. My son had a burger which he liked. The best part were the fries. Nicer than fast food but they are relatively...cheap. Atmosphere was casual and clean. Worth giving a try if you want pub type food.More

I have been going there for over 30 years. I love the steaks and beans and salads. The ribs are great and tender.

Chris and Pitts has great food. The prices have gone up way too much. The quality of the food has gone downhill. I have gone to this restaurant for over 50 years and like I said it’s not like it was before.

I have been going here for over 40 years. I love it so much I drove from Vancouver BC to Downey to go! Tha St. Louis Ribds to die for and the beans heavenly. The blue cheese salad dressing is the best I’ve had in...my life😊....More

With all the new restaurants in Downey, haven't gone to the Pitts in almost two years. Favorite item was the steak sandwich which i usually got to go, so last week the taste buds told me to call in the order. Got it home, took...one bite and spit it out, so tough I could not chew it. Tried the other end and same thing. Ok, what's going on? Took the steak and put it on a plate to cut with a knife, sampling small bites. Ended up giving it to the dog. Also, quite surprised when I paid for it at the take out window and the price was $15 plus change where it used to be $8. NOT worth it.More
