Went her tonight and after getting no one at all to help us we left. I think another couple left after us too. No one gave us a menu, offered us water or anything. When we came in they said sit wherever, so we did, then they forgot about us. We waited and waited and after realizing we saw no... More

Food is only fair. Service is excellent and the Sunday night Marachi concert is really fun! Very well attended by local Dixonites.

As noted by previous reviewers, when you walk in you are not greeted and have to figure out whether you should seat yourself or wait. The food is very good but the waitress could not answer some basic questions about menu options. The salsa Rojas is very tasty, as is the al pastor. I would return.

pleasant surprise - stopped for lunch and had the Tuesday special: one taco and two enchildas with rice and beans. The beef taco had a wonderful flavor and generous serving of beef. The chicken enchildas with green sauce were delicious. The price was economical. Served with chips and salsa and a dos XX in a chilled mug Perfect. The place... More

The food here is probably the equal of my other Dixon favorite Mexican restaurant, La Cocina. I had never had Alambre(s) and this dish here is delicious and large enough for two people to share. Bacon, ham, beef (asada) and shrimp cooked with bell pepper, onion, tomato and grated cheese. With rice and beans and tortillas (included), you have a... More

I tried this place several years ago with my daughter. We enjoyed the food, but never found our way back. The place burned down a couple years ago, and was recently rebuilt. My wife and I went there tonight to give it a try. The chips and salsa were authentically Mexican and tasty. I ordered the 5 taco "Monday Special"... More

Excellent find in Dixon. I had a great carnitas (seasoned pork) plate with refried beans, rice & a small salad with guac. Came with a side of 6 corn (can choose flour too) tortillas, which is about 4 more than usual. Heated chips and 2 spicy salsa choices. Huge portion for a very reasonable price. My dining companion really enjoyed... More

Ate here on the recommendation of family who lives in the area. Really good dishes (tacos, enchilada & chili relleno) with the requisite chips and good salsa. It was early and there weren't many customers, so service was fairly prompt and the prices are quite reasonable. Did I mention the food was very tasty too!

Can't wait for this place to re-open. We used to eat here every week. A kitchen fire has it closed temporarily. My favorite thing about this place is all the seafood choices. Excellent shrimp enchiladas. Carnitas also usually very good.
