We were told about this place from some friends and decided to check it out. We sat outside and had views of downtown Del Mar. The food was very good; I had chilaquiles with chicken while my husband had the poppy-strawberry pancakes. It was delicious, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was sweet and flavorful. Even their decaf coffee was tasty!... More

We came for dinner (starts at 5). The food was good, but did not fit the mold of "comfort food." The butternut squash ravioli was my companion's favorite dish while we are on this trip.

We originally selected Prepkitchen because it was both gluten free and dog friendly. We realized that is a tough combination to find and expected a mediocre meal with our dog. Instead, what we found was a terrific little restaurant. Nice happy hour 3-5pm. Very friendly staff from the GM to the servers, very attentive and accommodating. Many menu items can... More

Please understand my career as an executive chef qualifies me to judge in a way that cannot be mistaken as a weekend travelers review. While I applaud establishments who provide limited options for reasons meant to separate themselves by perfecting those few items chosen to be offered my experiences there have been mediocre. It has from the passerby the appearances... More

In town with my husband for a conference and told by a local to try Prep Kitchen for dinner. Super casual ambiance with a rustic flare. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating as we were talking with a colleague of my husband's that joined us for dinner. Brewton gave us excellent recommendations of the octopus and burrata appetizers which... More

We were out visiting family and had friends (old San Deigites, San Deigans?) tell us to stop here for a few beers and snacks. We ordered the bacon wrapped figs and it nearly blew our wigs off. If you are passing through, please stop in and do the same, you will not regret it. Easy walking from stunning views of... More

A great location and nice outside style seating. The food was fairly good for the pricing, not over wow, but a fantastic option for lunch. The seafood mussels had 30% of the serving that had about 3-6 hours of left before GI distress would be expected. Smell and be not afraid to send back if you think it is on... More

We have come here several times with our family. There are four boys, parents and us. The staff here is very accommodating! We always have quick service. And with some dietary restrictions, they work with us. The food is excellent! Salads are delicious! Hamburgers ... wow! The kids love them...so do the adults. They also have a nice wine list.... My husband and I decided to go to this restaurant after friends recommended it. We decided to bring our own wine to take advantage of the $20 corkage fee. Unfortunately the waiter was never taught to open a bottle of wine, he dribbled it everywhere. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli which were overcooked... More
