Had large horsefly in ice cube. Chip dripped unusual amount of grease. Restaurant had stale odor to it. Left before ordering.

The food was decent, the service slow but friendly. My sister loves this place but I'm so so. There are so many great mexican restaurants in the area, but this one priced well.

I've eaten here twice and the first time I was pleased with my choice of Huevos Rancheros, it was a deliciously filling meal. The second time I tried to eat here I was disappointed with my food choice. I ordered the Chicken Flautas and they were not very good at all. They were too crispy, but not in a good... More

My wife and I love it here. Always fresh, hot, delicious food in large portions. Service is friendly and efficient. Today they had live guitar music. Ambiance is fun and comfortable. We will be back soon.

This Mexican restaurant is very popular for the locals because the consistency and friendly service. The staff have good knowledge with menu and chef prepered food with home cooking style. Food always taste authentic. Highly recommended.

A great visual display and atmosphere like you are in Mexico and a great place for a good Mexican breakfast. Here is where it got strange. We went in looking for appetizers and were told, we really do not have appetizers. I said how about cassiditas and they said no. Was a limited menu and maybe I was just in... More

We were on vacation and on the road. Hungry on PCH 1 - where to stop - decided on Mexican. This is a real find. We had the fish tacos and they were fresh, tender and crisply fried. The nacho chips were incredible. This is on the side of the road on PCH 1 and well worth the stop. The... More

We went for dinner. I will start with the good: The atmosphere is very nice. There is a nice fire area outside with seating around it. Inside, they have candles on the tables. The staff are all attentive and pleasant. Now the bad: The food. The chips tasted stale and the salsa was so-so. We got a second basket of... More

Our family has a tradition of having breakfast together every Sunday in various places around San Clemente. Most of the time we end up at Carlos Mexican Restaurant. It may not be the best place, but it is pretty good. Since we always go for breakfast, I cannot comment on the afternoon and evening goings on. They have a fine... More
