I LOVE their curry. You can get it mild, medium, or spicey. I prefer 5he medium. Service is great and prices very reasonable. It's a small place so sometimes there's a bit of a wait but worth it!

So much better than you think it's going to be. It a nice restaurant with a friendly staff and I though reasonable prices. Its worth a visit when your in the area. It does get busy at lunch and dinner times so plan accordingly.
Discovered Curry House when we lived in Cypress. Unique taste that you crave after you experience it! Katsu Curry (pork or chicken) is our family's favorite. They do a great job on the seafood Curry with rice pilaf as well. Staff is efficient and remembers you and your order! A rarity in customer service these days!
Yes there IS Japanese curry and this IS the place to get it. Friendly staff. Lunch time it is filled with Japanese and Japanese-American executives from the nearby corporate ( Yamaha, Mitsubishi Motors etc.) offices. You can't go wrong if you dine where the natives do.
Curry House reminds me of some of the flavors I enjoyed during my three-year stay in Japan, especially their hamburger steak with garlic sauce served with daikon sprouts and grated daikon on a hot iron plate. Their servers are prompt, attentive, and polite. Highly recommended for a taste of Japanese comfort food.
I am not a fan of curry of any kind. However, I did enjoy the pork katsu without the curry. It comes on a bed of rice and your rice acts as a damn for the curry sauce that floats on half of your plate. Others that I was with, loved the taste of their curry.
I spent a couple years based in Japan in the 50's and loved the savory flavor of slow cooked curry (not to be confused with the varieties of East Indian curry which have a more limited appeal) sauce served with or without meat over rice. I suspect there is one basic recipe for Japanese curry and Curry House nails it... More
Staying at Hampton Inn in Cypress, CA, I found the Curry House next door, literally. Skeptical at first since I thought if was an Indian restaurant. Well.... was I surprised to learn about other Japanese food besides sushi, Tepenyaki, etc. the restaurant was full of Japanese people and me, so I figured it was good and it was!! Did not... More
I don't know about you, but when I hear the word curry, my mind immediately envisions Indian cuisine. I have also seen curry in parts of Southeast Asia including Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. But Japan? On a visit to Southern California, I discovered a restaurant chain called Curry House. This establishment is all about curry and Japanese spaghetti. I dined... More
We've been eating at the Curry House for years and for years you always get "great food" and the service is the best! They have monthly specials and our favorite is the curry spaghetti. If you try it; you will love it.
