At first we wanted to order two plate size pepperoni with extra fresh tomatoes and mushroom pizzas.( Our eyes were bigger than our tummies!) The server suggested we would be OK with one pizza to share. She was right. The pizza dough was very light...More

Ate lunch here with my wife and 2 kids. Kids had the kids menu...and their pizzas were pretty much the same size as ours. The tomato sauce on the pizza was really tasty but we could have got away with only really needing to order...More

I wanted to cry when I walked into the restaurant. My first clue that Village Pizzeria had slipped was the lunch crowd. There wasn't one! Mid-summer at noon in a popular tourist destination and the place was almost empty. Typically we'd wait at least a...More

I am not exaggerating when I say this might be the best pizza I've ever eaten. According to their menu they ship New York City water to use in their pizza dough. The dough is light, flavorful, and cooked crispy and the toppings taste fresh....More

They are every bit as good as others have mentioned. This casual stop serves huge portions in a friendly and informal setting. The Caesar salad with chicken entree size was delicious and enough for two full meals.

Nice place right next to hotel del Coronado. Quite busy so service can be a bit slow. But with island patience everything is fine. The pizza was excellent. Served hot and fresh. It might be the NY water that is shipped in to make the...More

Description
Established in 2002, Coronado's locally owned and family operated Village Pizzeria offers an authentic slice of New York City in the heart of beautiful Coronado, California. Using only the freshest ingredients, Village Pizzeria prides itself on going to great lengths to preserve the integrity of the iconic New York style pie, down to importing authentic New York water to replicate the perfect thin crust dough. Located just a block away from the Pacific Ocean, the restaurant's original Orange Avenue location provides cozy interior dining and ample outdoor seating, allowing guests to enjoy the coastal vibe of the area. Village Pizzeria's second location opened in 2007, just steps away from the bay, boasting a spacious event-ready patio perfect for any family gathering. With nearly 20 pizzas to choose from, Village Pizzeria also delivers a healthy, tailor-made spin on old-school New York pizzeria offerings. Touting four different crust options for each pizza-original NY-style crust, thin crust, Sicilian style, and gluten free-as well as a variety of specialty pizzas such as "The Billy Goat" a white pie with fresh spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, sun dried tomatoes, basil, balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese, as well as "The Islander" with Canadian bacon, pineapple, onions and bell peppers. In addition, the restaurant's menu features a variety of made-to-order salads, pastas, calzones, hoagies and desserts.
