We are always trying new sushi places and Kijima had very nice reviews on google so we went there. It was a Friday night, two adults and three children, including a toddler. Overall, it was very okay, maybe because we went in with high expectations. 1. Place: it's a small restaurant, mom and pop style, kind of hidden because there... More

I'v been to around 5 Japanese restaurants in the Fresno area and this is my favorite. Love tha salmon teriyaki. With this meal you get a miso soup, a small salad and the grilled salmon. It also includes a portion of potatoe salad, and sprout beans. I also tried the Lunch Box and it's the best I ever had, it... More

No flaming onions, no knife tricks, just plain, simple good food. Really enjoyed the nigiri sushi, especially the butter fish.

You can tell a restaurant is good when locals come in and the owners know what they like to order and don't even have to show a menu. That is what this place is like. Nothing fancy, but very good Japanese food. I had oyako and tempura. The tempura was crispy and the dipping sauce was perfect. My oyako was... More

This is one of the best sushi/sahimi experiences I have had outside of Japan....Including Masa in Manhattan!...I never saw the menu...sat at the sushi bar and asked the chef/owner to choose for me....Also had a wonderful sake from Nagata prefecture....If you truly love real sushi--not the fake rolls etc....you will not be disappointed....This restaurant is an absolute gem.....I loved it... My husband & I eat here at least once a month (would like to do more). He brought me here when we were in early-date-mode. Someone who likes good food cant be all that bad. We have the lunch plate special (teriyaki chicken etc) and it is a lot of food and variety for a reasonable price. A nice quiet... More

I travel all over the country and whenever in an unfamiliar town I look for a good locals joint. I read the reviews posted here and on other sites. Two descriptions caught my eye 1) hole in the wall in strip center and 2) good sashimi. Well, everyone knows the best places are local hole in the wall restaurants. Sure... More

Favorite place In our area to enjoy Japanese style dishes, sashimi or sushi. Friendly staff, small but adequate dinning. Not one of the trendy joints with sushi and loud music or train tracks of old food floating by. Authentic, more traditional, quality food. Made fresh to order. Like the staff, but we have our favorite waitress. She is really good!... More

We were just stopping over in Fresno on way from Vegas to yosemite and looking for somewhere reasonably healthy to eat after too much excess! We happened to see this place as we drove past and decided to stop. Great little place with excellent sashimi and huge bento boxes for a very reasonable price. The teriyaki salmon was delicious and... More

If you like traditional japanese / sushi, then you have to try this place. Dont expect fancy sauces or nuts, just good ol sushi. My favorite sushi spot in town.
