Great food, Great Service, Great atmosphere! We especially like going when it's a warm sunny day and we can sit outside on their deck and enjoy an icy cold margarita with good quality, authentic Mexican food.

They moved to the building where Volcano Grill used to be located. Had lunch there and found the food to be fresh, tasty, nice portions, and friendly service. The owner took good care of us!

My son and I have breakfast at Plaza Linda almost weekly. The food and service are both consistently excellent. Seriously, amazing chef and our regular server, Pedro, take time to chat and we are treated like family! I highly recommend trying it but afraid too many will make it crowded!

Plaza Linda is an old-school, family run place. This is not a "normal" Mexican restaurant....it is beautiful inside, has a full bar featuring dozens of esoteric tequlas, and the open kitchen reveals a modern chef in full chef regalia. It is quiet....even courtly. The quiet has nothing to do with the food or service, which are excellent, but more about... More

We stopped in late afternoon for an early dinner. We had the place to ourselves. I had the enchiladas with beef and my wife the carnitas. Mine were seriously the best flavored enchiladas I have had. Seasoned to perfection. Her Carnitas were in the top 5 ever. My margarita was well made, and the other dinner sides were good and... More

We arrived about 8:15 pm for dinner. Ena the owner and hostess joyfully received us. Her brother is the excellent chef. We had sea food quesadillas which were delicious as was the beer. Ena was engaging sharing her story. Ena is from El Salvador. So is her food. That was a big plus for us. Plaza Linda is a little... More

We went back to Plaza Linda on a Monday night for our anniversary. Being Monday, we were not surprised that it was very quiet. The hostess was acting as our server as well. She was very attentive without being pushy and made it clear that taking our time was fine. We'd been there before and enjoyed the food. We started... More

Every visit to Carmel Valley I make this a must do. It's got the freshest, most delicious Mexican/Central American food in the entire area. Don't bother with the Baja Cantina. This place beats it hands down. The Salvadorian Tamal is melt in your mouth delicious, the nachos are perfect, and the selection of tequilas and mescal is perfect. They have... More
