Best hot chocolate I've found. Not too sweet, they grind their own chocolate. I like it with whip cream, real and thick. No soy, which is important no me.

This place was recommended to us by a friend. We were exploring the area, and needed a light lunch, and found this to be delightful. The atmosphere is so fun, with vintage tablecloth curtain swags, and a huge selection of food to go, prepared food, lads, sandwiches and mouth watering pastries, plus a coffee bar. You can see the food,... More

Whenever we are having a special birthday or other occasion, we often buy the cake from Gayle's. I love anything with chocolate ganache, and my daughter loves their princess cake. This is also a great place to buy a lovely dessert when bringing food to someone else's dinner party. They do a great job catering the food for a dinner... More

This weekend I promised to focus on salads and no carbs. But walking into Gayle's in Capitola at 3:30pm on a Saturday for the first meal of the day was not the wisest decision for someone trying to reduce. Gayle's is one of the few U.S. restaurants with a model I've only seen at Harrod's in London...amazingly unique and colorful... More

I had read, online, ahead of time about this bakery and deli before our trip to the city. Upon arrival, there was everything (except fine cheeses) one could want to eat. Loved the premade (that morning) sandwiches and their prices were alright considering the quality of food and homemade breads. The only down side was the "rushed" feeling and people... More

Well I am going to Mexico and I always shop for a swimsuit in capitola. We always stop at gayles because we could not decide on dinner. We picked dessert first, drinks , full dinner for spouse. Then to market across street for fruit. We will be back again.
