Just try it! Finding the little house is all part of the experience. Only 12 people at the table overlooking the prep of your dugustation. Hosts are wonderful. Be warned - book ahead.

After reading the TripAdvisor reviews, I ensure I must visit Rakuichi when I was in Niseko. We were there at 11:20am and there was another group of 3 persons queuing in front of us. They opened the shop on time (11:30am) and we both ordered cold soba (with duck soup) and shared a plate of mixed vegetables tempura. The soba... More

This restaurant is not to be missed if you are in the area. Beware, if you want to go for dinner you MUST make a reservation well in advance of your trip. You can walk in for lunch also, but be sure to arrive early or you will be left out as well. The food was fabulous. But this restaurant... More

Tuck away at the base of Annupari, Rakuichi was a holy grail spot that we were so glad to have visited. We stopped by around 1pm late in the season and there were only 2 person waiting in front so we enjoyed our beer in the sunny patio. We got seated around 15 mins later and was able to watch... More

This restaurant is located in a homey small wooden hut and operated by a lovely couple, the husband Tatsuru Rai, the soba master who crafted the soba noodle from scratch that's proudly served by his wife Midori. Tatsurusan is considered to be one of the best soba master in the world, from the pictures in the restaurant, he was recently... More

Rakuichi is a real gem of a restaurant and an experience in dining that you should not miss. Midori and Tatsusu Rai the owners and the most dignified and sweet couple who make you feel like you are actually dining in their own home....which you are. An experience whilst visiting Niseko that you must not miss!

What separates a good restaurant from a great one? Attention to detail and fresh ingredients are the basic requirements; craftsmanship and technical skill, too, is paramount. We find that our favorite restaurants in Niseko tend to be the smaller, more intimate settings that tick all these boxes, and where every meal is an adventure via the free-form menu that is... More

This place is a must go. Be sure to get there 30 mins before they open. Watching your soba made from scratch makes it taste so much better!

Came for lunch as it was relatively affordable (compared to dinner, lunch also doesn't require reservations). We arrived there 30 minutes before the restaurant opened and were 2nd in line. Be sure to come early if you plan on dining here. I believe they only serve 20 people or so for lunch. Ambiance is nice, dining is done at a... More
