After the hike up, a stop here is a relief and a delight. the view is heavenly and the respite wonderful - so soak it up! It s 'pinch yourself' place. The food is authentic Bhutanese and delicious and you can chat to people from all over the world who are gathering to enjoy something special

A good place to stop and rest during your hike up to the monastery. The views are great, but the lunch buffet is not.

This Cafeteria is logistically so located en route to Tiger's Nest that you have no choice but to eat there. The menu is totally vegetarian; some dishes loaded with Bhutanese red chillies are too hot for most people who are not accustomed to this cuisine. Otherwise the fare is good ; the decor too is well done. For most of... More

We visited the place in March'17 while climbing towards Taktshang. Reached the Café in 2 hours time. It is strategically located and you can have best views from the Café - both the Monastery as well as the valley. We had tea here. They charge 100Nu per cup and give you 4 biscuits. It is worth the money after a... More

The selection is poor and the price is high. The only good thing is the view. Wait until you get down to eat!

They have no idea of what they are serving. They served us yesterday veg noodles with scrambled eggs spicy potato curry boiled tossed full potatoes. They charge 470 Btn which is atrocious. They take full advantage of the fact that there is no other alternative to them at that altitude. It's run by bhutan tourism. They better pull up themselves.

Without a doubt. The climb to the cafeteria is not easy. You can hire a horse (one way - up), and/or buy a pole to assist you. It really doesn't matter, just do it. The cafeteria is only halfway to the monastery, but be proud if you just reach there. It's an achievement. And the views from either side of... More

Beautifully situated with views up to the Tiger's Nest. Get a seat outside with a view. Buffet lunch was basic but welcome after the exertion. Quite busy even in February so probably very crowded in high season.
