Excellent preparation of dishes and an extensive menu from which to choose. Consistency and quality of ingredients are what sets this apart from the other Burmese restaurant in town. Prepare to wait in line, but it’s worth it for a meal of memorable flavors and...More

Food was better than expected. Service was ok due to a busy evening. I would definitely go back when I am in town.

Lovely evening in Burlingame! Our food was delicious and the service was great. We didn't feel rushed at all even though it was very busy. It is small but the noise level is very acceptable. Don't miss the tea leaf salad!

Still not really sure what Burmese food is. I guess a cross between Indian, Thai, and Chinese. It kind of felt like a place where the Silicon Valley set can say, "Let's go for Burmese food" to sound cool. Interestingly, there is a Burmese place...More

Went here on a Friday night and was lucky enough to get a seat after we waited for 10 minutes. We ordered the paratha, tea leaf salad, lamb kebat and garlic noodles. Our favorites are the tea leaf salad and the lamb kebat. Tip: try...More

Very popular restaurant, almost always a wait to get in. Some dishes are excellent such as Tea Leaf Salad, However, the staff usually rushes people in order to get turn over since rent is outrageously high. In contrast, last week, we had to pester the...More

If you enjoy asian or Indian food then you will love Burmese, and Mingalaba was not disappointing! My boyfriend and I were only in town for one night so we tried to get as much food as we could handle. We started with the parath...More

Anyone who likes Asian cuisine will be thrilled to dine here, where the flavors of diverse cultures mingle more harmoniously than the nation the restaurant represents. Burmese food incorporates ingredients and techniques from the cuisines of its neighbors Thailand and Laos to the east, Bangladesh,...More

Everytime we eat at Mingalaba, we over-order on the appetizers and the salads. We're so stuffed after 6 to 8 varieties, we don't seem to make it to their mains. I think we only went that far when we were 10 diners! Their food is...More

I think they're $8 to $12 per dish, pretty generous which encourages sharing.

I would think so as I believe rice is gluten free, and they use chickpea flour in their falafel ball soup. You'd have to check ~ Usually asian food is fairly easily navigated ~
