They have a limited menu and the night see went there the items were excellent. Please tell and extremely friendly service. Great local place
We came to Bolinas after 13 miles hike in Point Reyes around 5pm and we were really hungry. Notice that restaraunt opens at 5pm , do not plan lunch here... We ordered the biggest pizza with salami for 2 ( 21$). Selection of beer is...limited - only 2 types were available. Pizza has very thin crust and not sure if you'll be capable to figure out that it has salami or anything else, although taste was OK. It was not enough for 2 hungry people... By the way restaraunt decorations look very curious.More
This delightful inn/restaurant in Bolinas is well worth the detour off Highway 1. The regular menu emphasizes pizza or creative tacos, depending on the evening, but there are also specials. And the special on the menu for our visit was branzino, or Mediterranean sea bass....It was grilled to perfection, served whole with lemon and a light touch of herbs stuffed inside, and simply delicious! The meat was tender, with a delicate, almost sweet flavor and the thin, crunchy skin was to die for. We had to apologize to the house cat for leaving only the head, tail and backbone. Any place that can make this not-so-common dish so well is definitely worth a repeat visit The staff are charming and helpful and the wine list, though limited, is economically priced.More
As tourists in notorious Bolinas (staying at the house of friends), I wondered how welcome we'd feel, but the restaurant was relaxed and friendly. In contrast to CoastalBadger's (sorry about yours), our meatballs were really excellent and CoastalBadger is right about the sauce. Our salad...was pristine and the staff does clearly care about the pizza. Mine (the caper/anchovy one) was a little heavy on the anchovy, but so intensely flavored I still really liked it and took some home for the next day. The margherita was excellent. We ordered a pot de creme to go and they gave us the pot so we could return it the next day (which we did). Adorable.More
We were excited to try this new local place and decided to treat ourselves to a preview before friends came for a visit. If you are disabled, the access is tricky/impossible. While there is a steep ramp to the left of the entrance with stairs,...getting through the door (blocked with stools when we went) will be tricky. Using the bathroom - impossible. The service was off the night we visited. Our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes (yes, we started counting) before we ordered. The food was OK - meatballs were raw in the center, but the sauce was nice. The pizza was good. The salad was small for $13, but good. In all, I doubt we will be back. We try to support places that commit to access for all (and it would have been easy to do here), plus the food just wasn't worth it.More
We, two southerners, dined here about 7 days into our California vacation, and it was by far the best meal we had on our trip. The wine menu was top notch, the food was fresh and creative, and the staff was very friendly. I wish...we could have had more meals here before we returned home, and definitely more wine!More
What a great find! We had dinner here Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Simple but satisfying food; lovely service and a really fun and interesting selection of natural wines. The decor is great and I’m sure the rooms would be good too! Open as bar...and restaurant Thurs-Mon 5-9pm. Highly recommended!More
Local oysters and kale, farm-fresh produce and pizza. Went for my daughter's 16th Birthday and the staff was so delightful and played a series of birthday tunes for her at the end of the evening. The veggies, which are local, are to die for.
