We had two meals and both were terrific. The veal piccata was special!!! Jena was a fun and professional waitress. Piano player was pleasant. Fireplace.

We purchased a gift certificate at a silent auction for this restaurant, thinking it would get us motivated to go to Bodega Bay. The restaurant and our table had a nice view of the bay. Our appetizers were good, although my salad was entrée size, which some may appreciate. We both had fish and the salmon was overdone, however my... More

The food at the restaurant is really good, if you get it. The bar is outrageously expensive. $30 for a Jack Daniels and a lemon drop. The restaurant manager is a complete idiot and should be fired. He blamed all of the service mess on the employees and never once lifted a finger to help them.

During the week we spent roaming around at the beach, we decided to stay in for dinner one evening. We were delightlfully surprised to find a very fine restaurant right there. I had veal oscar, the veal was fork tender, the crab was fresh and clean, salad crispy and cold, a unique selection of fresh bread and a great wine... More

We were camping at Doran Regional Park and decided to go out to dinner. This place was quiet and had excellent service. Food was good but not great. We would go back.

I would not return to this restaurant. The service wasn't too great, the prices were really high, and the food was just average. I had snapper (tasted okay but nothing special), my husband had some kind of meat (beef?) but it was covered with mostly vegetables (not his favorite). We left a lot of food on our plates. Maybe it... More

We enjoyed a very good dinner. I had risotto with asparagus and scallops and my husband had lamb. Both dishes were very good. Excellent bottle of wine too. Service was good.

This review is for the restaurant. My fiance and I are fans of the Doran Beach campgrounds area in Bodega Bay. We went for a couple's weekend near Sonoma, drove through Sebastopol and on to Bodega for a little beach side canoodling and a romantic dinner. Upon our arrival, we didn't receive the warm "Be right with you" or "Let... More

The Bay View consistently serves excellent food. The restaurant is also consistently understaffed. Our dinner took over two and a half hours. It is a shame. Many of the other customers grew increasingly impatient with the incredible wait. To the credit of the staff, our waitress brought out several rounds of complementary h'orderves that were very tasty and helped to... More
