We actually dined here twice on our visit to Bishop because it's location was just behind the hotel that we stayed in, the Bishop Creekside Inn. Had steak the first night which was great flavor but a little on the chewy side. Second night that...More

We asked a local where the best place in town would be to eat and we were told the Bowling Alley (The Back Alley Bowl and Grill) on our last visit to Bishop. The food was wonderful and on our latest trip we went back...More

A hidden gem of Bishop. We dine here each visit to Bishop. The dirty martinis are outstanding. The prime rib on weekends is delicious. It’s becoming a hot spot. On our last visit, a busload of Russian tourists came in to dine. They’ve just expanded...More

We had to wait 10 minutes on a week night to get in. Kind of cramped dining area, but the food was above average.

This has always been a favorite fun place for me with a local reputation of great food. After my last visit of a few days ago, I have changed my mind. Waitstaff is wonderful, quick and efficient. However like many restaurants today, budget cuts seem...More

We asked the front desk folks at Creekside Inn where to eat and all three told us "The Back Alley!" That was a great recommendation. Two things to keep in mind; one while offering a good amount of seating, this is a busy place, every...More

Restaurant is in a bowling alley so it might get noisy. No bowling when we there thankfully. Place was busy, service was good. Prime rib was average. Fried chicken was good. Okay prices. Would try again.

We’d read that this was a favourite of the locals, also that service may be suspect. Well whilst we had to wait 15 minutes for a table, enjoying a good local IPA in the bar, the table became available exactly as promised. The food (an...More

No they don’t. The restaurant is in a dinning room separate from the bowling alley. You may also order from the restaurant and eat in the bowling alley.
