We were staying in the area for a week and ate here 3 times. We ate indoors which was fine for my husband who has to use a zimmer. There are 4 areas for eating:: outdoors, at the bar, a cosy area to the left...of the entrance and a room beyond that. A busy place so we always booked a table earlier in the day. The food was tasty with good sized portions which led us to return on another two occasions. Staff were excellent and friendly too which made for a good overall dinning experienceMore

Visited twice in August. On 1st visit we sat in new outside aera which is lovely and has a great atmosphere , 2nd time we sat inside where tables were spaced out well but it was disappointing that vaccine cert checks were not required and...there was a group of about 6-8 men standing drinking at bar for the duration of our visit . Staff were very busy trying to keep all diners happy, in bar, resturant and outside and they did a great job. However the big disapointment was the food. It was pretty bland and tasteless and not tasting or presenting like food in a resturant. . For eg. the main of beef consisted of mash, veg and meat all chucked on a plate and drenched in gravy and presentation would have been better at home or in a carvery and defiantly you didn't feel it was resturant /eating out standard. It was also tasteless and bland. The bread sides with starter was a small roll sliced up and the Cesar salad was a mixed leaf salad with mayonnaise! Derrdert of cheesecake was good. Overall on both occasions food was not terrible but was bland and tasteless. As each bill came to about €90 it will need to improve before we will return. Any night we go out now to eat is a BIG night out so Covid cannot be an excuse for such unimpressive food.More

Very friendly staff- but unfortunately very poor food. We had chowder which was probably the best dish - but still noting amazing. Vol-au-vent for another starter which was also disappointing. We had 3 steak and chips for mains - which weren’t good at all- very...disappointing. The chips were the worst we’ve got in a very long time. The pepper sauce was awful- so lumpy & thick. Nice place but very poor food.More

Stopped at Nualas for a light bite while on a cycle trip. We had a very good chowder and sweet potato soup. So disappointing to get a small anaemic roll sliced ... to share..

What a horrendous 16 months we have had so with that in mind we decided that it was time to get out and celebrate the fact that we are coming out the other end. We headed to Nuala's New outdoor dining area in Tuamgraney. What...an amazing job they have done with the outside area. A total transformation of what used to be the entrance to the carpark. It was comfortable, with plenty of space between diners outside. The food was beautiful, with great options on the menu. The turkey and ham special was the option for a few with (must have Christmas on their minds 🤔) the chicken supreme for one and I went for the steak. Make sure you go in hungry as the portions were huge... My steak was slightly over the medium I had asked for, but was one of the most tender steaks I have ever had, which was great and also a slight pity that it was a little well done. Overall we had a super meal and a few drinks to mark our first outing in quite some time. The service was also really good and the whole team were really attentive throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and absolutely recommend Nuala's to anyone passing the little village of Tuamgraney. Hopefully they will be back serving indoors too really soon, as like most bars and restaurants, they have been severely affected by the pandemic. We will definitely be back anyway, real soon I hope 👍More

I had baked cod and vegetables for my main course. Unfortunately the veg were watery and overcooked. The fish was also watery and lacked any flavour. My wife had a burger which she enjoyed. The staff were friendly and the outside area is attractively maintained...with lovely flower boxes.More

My son and I ended up spending 3 days instead of 1 in Scariff/Tuamgraney , in part, due to the home cooked meals, wonderful service and perfect ambiance at Nuala's. It was early November and we had a few of our meals by the fireplace....One night we dined with a beautiful local couple. I plan on returning soon - hopefully, with my wife and entire family. The review says November 2020 but that's only because the choice of November 2018 is unavailable.More
