We got there at 7, got our food at 830, and then left immediately. The food was terrible and I'm confident there is no worse restaurant in big bear.

We brought our party of 8 for a birthday dinner this past weekend. The food was good - but service was extremely slow due to staff calling in sick. We have dined here before - food quality has remained - food presentation was nice - lake views nice - but service seems to have declined. Wondering if they are under... More

My wife and I had dinner here on a Friday evening. The restaurant was about half full but busy. I had the salmon and my wife had the butternut squash ravioli. It was good but, honestly, for what they charged ($30+) I can get better salmon at Denny's for about a third of the price but no lake view. Service... More

We went to the Evergreen for a "special" occasion. The view was great. The service was also great. Each dish was beautifully presented. We enjoyed our meal,,,,other than the tempura shrimp. It was the same shrimp I buy at Costco.

We wanted to go to The Pines, but their limited seating schedule left us high and dry - The Pines personell recommended Evergreen for "fine Dining" - It was ok, but very high priced for what it was. And the place was almost deserted at a later time frame.

We arrived without a reservation, and although a couple of tables seemed to be set up for a wedding reception later, we were given a nice table inside by the window. There is also a nice terrace - all overlooking the lake - but it was a bit too windy for us that evening. Inside the decor is lovely -... More

As soon as I walked in I knew it had to be bad. Large room, Nobody in it except 2 tables. We were given a window seat. It was dark out. No view. I had to keep my down jacket on because the place wasn't warm. There was no smell of food like at the Peppercorn. Just a musty smell.... More

We returned for my birthday after 8 months. Food was great and service was good, especially when you find out they were short staff . Location is wonderful & this is still a winner.

The service was slow and the prices were high for the holiday season. My steak was good but wasn't hot when it was served, also the baked potatoes were very small. One of our party ordered a rack of lamb and it was overcooked and we sent it back and the next rack was so tough that she couldn't get... More
