Mr. Chow is one of those places where you need to visit at least once. It's an experience, if you are lucky you might see the same evening Sean Penn, Bobby DeNirro and Oliver Stone or the irrelevant Van Damme. Outside of my sarcasm, you must try the Pekin Duck. Service is always impeccable. Wear something nice and have a... More

This place was a great surprise .after selecting the most expansive menu the champagne waiter passed offering a choice of different kind of champagne.we have selected one . Not until asking for the check we have noticed that mr Chow is charging 43 or 45 usd per glass.when asking the manager why we have not been informed while we were... More

This was my second visit. My first was 3 years ago. Then, the food was good but they convinced you to order too much food. We ended up with a big bill and all these leftovers we would not eat. So, I decided to try it again. First of all, they did not have our reservation on the correct day.... More

The food was very good just not very special. For the price, one expects a fantastic meal which would make you want to come back for more. I didn't experience that although everything we had was quite good. Chicken satay was good. Clams and rice cake slightly weird. Greens prawns were just ok. Fiery beef outstanding. Steamed vegetables outstanding. Fried... More

The food is outstanding as the decor is a bit cafeteria esq. Popular with UCLA students, the establishment is clean, service is fast and efficient and the tastiness of the food is outstanding.

Very high end swanky restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service is next to none. Definently don't come here if you aren't willing to pay. It's a splurge, but worth every penny. Obviously the place was busy, with everyone extremely well dressed. .

Mr. Chow's is worth experiencing once but I wouldn't return. Tables are too close together, the atmosphere noisy and it's very overpriced. They are famous for their fresh noodles which they make table side which is worth ordering for the "show" value and the taste.

I've never been a huge fan of Chinese food. It's nearly always greasy, fatty and generally unhealthy in my opinion, and that's after eating at other places people have raved about. Mr Chow was different, by a long shot. The quality of everything speaks for itself and leaves you wanting more, and more. It's a larger space which has been... More

We were told we had to eat at Mr Chows while visiting LA. The restaurant is a little on the dark side which is not menu friendly. The service was very good and the food was also good but also very expensive for what it was as were the drinks. We had a nice time but I have had better... More

The most ordinary Chinese food I have ever tasted, around the world. Our local takeaway in England is substantially better. Luckily, we had booked for 7pm, so we had our table on arrival, unlike the poor people waiting for later tables. There must have been forty people, packed into the very small bar area, waiting for the earlier tables to... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighbourhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
