This restaurant reservation was a last minute "want something close to the hotel because I have to fly back to NYC in the morning" reservation, and one that met with concierge approval. While I've never been an extreme fan of west coast Italian, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with perfectly al dente pasta tossed with a high... More

Via Alloro has an extensive menu including some dishes not commonly seen (fried, stuffed zucchini blossoms, for example). Our food was very good and came promptly. The weak link was the waiter who was inattentive, chatting overly long with patrons at some tables and disappearing for long periods of time. We had cocktails while we waited for our appetizers, but... More

We had an average wait person who served us average food. They were out of kale salad, so we settled for tricolore salad which was ok. The Margherita pizza was tasteless. The spaghetti pomodoro was decent. I'm used to New York and Boston. This place can't compare to the Italian restaurants of the northeast.

Had the special of the Scallops and salad, which i found very disappointing. My friend had the rabbit which he said was very good. Service was average as we had to ask a couple times for more bread.

The service and food was excellent. It was a good atmosphere for a lunch meeting. Would recommend for meeting friends or doing business.

The Drago Family are the Dons of Italian cuisine in Beverly Hills and Villa Alloro is a great example of what the do best. Autentic and fresh Italian in an inviting space. 4 stars because this is better for lunch and Il Pastaio and E Baldi are the top dogs...

This place is a winner! We have been going there to enjoy great Italian dishes for a few years now - the vodka pasta is a must try, but even simpler plates like arrabbiata and bolognese are spectacular! To be escorted by a glass of Malbec and to finish off the melody of taste, a chocolate tart is fabulous! A... More

Famed musician, Sting (one of my personal favorites) sang of “sending out an SOS” in his song “Message In a Bottle.” So for all of you lovers of La Dolce Vita (the Sweet Life) California Style, I am sending out an SOS to wine, dine and refine your life at Via Alloro, one of the many superb restaurants by the... I was disappointed with this restaurant. Everything seemed to be precooked and food came out so quickly I'm not sure how! My salad was freezing cold so that was prepared long in advance and left in the fridge until needed. The waiters are sloppy and the place is below advantage. It's also expensive for what you get. Give it a... More

The Drago brothers have created and run some of the best and most popular restaurants throughout Los Angeles. When they took over this beautiful space, hopes were very high. Unfortunately, the food doesn't measure up. Tanino Drago mans the kitchen here and has failed to deliver the food and experience of the other family owned places. The menu is extensive... More

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighbourhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
