Saul's pastrami on Acme bread! How could you beat it? By ordering chopped liver as the other half of the half and half. With a knish on the side. All delicious and served expertly and with a smile!

I love a good Reuben. Excellent Pastrami and Rye bread. A nice fresh green salad with lettuce and Arugula. My sister got the Latkes and Lox. also excellent. Service is friendly. Prices are reasonable. The East Bay Mud is a wonderful dessert that I have had before. It is huge. I didn't have room for it tonight.

Great location in the heart of the Gourmet Ghetto. Really good New York style Jewish comfort food. Can be really busy in the middle of the day on nice weekends, so try to come during off hours.

Found it as a recommended place in a local directory. Not sure if it falls in Gourmet category in the Ghetto, but it certainly was excellent as a Deli. Had the latke and matzo ball soup, both delicious. Lovely outdoor patio to sit in on a sunny day!

We ate here recently after having promised ourselves a "deli" experience for some time. It was an early weekday evening, and they weren't crowded, so, imagine our amazement that when we ordered latkes, they told us they were out! Not off to a promising start, my vegetarian husband searched around for another item, and settled on an egg salad sandwich--... More

Sauls is great for any meal. They have outstanding corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. Their corned beef hash is really good. The staff is friendly and attentive. They give you deli pickles to snack on with lunch and dinner. Parking can be a pain especially during peak hours. Sometimes there is a wait to be seated but typically no more... More

Have eaten here over the years. It is o.k. and is usually quite busy so some must like it. However, I ordered the egg salad sandwich which was soupy with mayo. Also the potato salad which was swimming in mayo. Won't say I won't go here again but if I'm in the neighborhood and nothing else is available, will try... More

I adore Saul's when I am in need of an infusion of Jewish soul food. It really hits the mark. I was there recently with a friend, and we split a gefilte fish appetiser: delicious. And then we had brisket, a potato latke, and some veggies, not to mention the apple sauce and sour cream. Superb. Our waitress was so... More

I love a good breakfast place and have collected names around the country. Saul's is now near the top of my list. I cannot remember the last time I went in to a place and saw more than one item I had never tried before, but there were three--all of which sounded great (and the one we tried was great!).... More

Although parking can be a deterrant, determination to patronize Sauls would not stop my husband and I from making our way through the door. While my husband got a table, I moved my car to a parking spot and able to actually sit down without having to worry about getting a parking ticket while looking at the menu with the... More
