I love breakfast in the east bay but the wait is always long... Plus so few have a gluten free alternative to bread. Well I found Quince and it is perfect. No waiting for a table, really good solid breakies and gluten free bread and homemade muffins. Smiles

Quince feels so homey! The poached eggs, home fries, and English muffin were just right. My companions also loved their meals. The staff is friendly and efficient; the prices are so reasonable. And the menu is terrific.

The house made blue berry muffins are worth a visit. You might have better luck than our party of four did for late breakfast. We found the food and service to be lackluster but had been told by neighbors that it was a super breakfast place.

On our way to an Asian fusion place, we spied Quince Cafe and decided it might suit us better. Good call! My wife's two-cheese omelette and my Mediterranean Scramble were both outstanding. The waitress was attentive, friendly, helpful, and eager to converse. The small dining space is bright, comfortable and quiet. A perfect lunch.

This is a very nice quaint breakfast-lunch spot on San Pablo Ave. I enjoyed the rolled pancake. It was really just a vessel to roll some excellent seasonal berries with crema to serve with spots of excellent granola. Service was attentive and very important.... the coffee was good!

Ate a nice omelet there, had ice tea so have to go back and try the coffee. Good bread, nice waitress, when I complained about how hot it was in the restaurant, she opened the window for me. Will be back.

We enjoyed eating at Quince Café, on a Saturday late morning, in part because the dining room although small, feels spacious. They don't cram too many tables close together. Menu items very reasonably priced. Servers are attentive. We got full order of challah French toast; they came out pillowy, light. Also tried the potato leek soup which was a nice... More

The food was fresh and delicious!! I got the pancakes that had yogurt and granola and fruit on top which was the perfect breakfast! If I lived in the area I would be here every week.

We descended upon this place with a large group of friends (9 people) and they handled us quite well even though it is a small place. The staff was great and attentive, the food good (mostly traditional breakfast fare), and the coffee superb. I believe that the ingredients are (majority) locally grown and organic which is a plus.

A cute restaurant on San Pablo, with a line for breakfast. Alas, the anticipation was all we got. One coffee cup was dumped, empty on the table. My order for Cappuccino went unfilled for fifteen minutes until I asked where it was. When it came, it was one of the best I have had. The excellence stopped there, unfortunately. My... More
