When we first arrived for our 6 night stay we were a little later than check in which was 4pm. When we arrived every door was closed and a number left on door to ring. My husband rang it as he was able to communicate...in Italian. However, no response. It took 10 minutes for someone to come, where from I don’t know as he had his outdoor coat on and came from another building. We were shown to our room, it was simple but nice. No drinking facilities in room. Television did not work, no telephone. No hotel information in room. So we decided to retire for the evening. Next morning, we were overcome by flies in our room. Apparently they have come in somehow from the patio doors of which we couldn’t open anyway. We also mentioned about the broken television and was reassured both would be sorted. We went out for the day as we had to make some visits and when we came back nothing had been done. It was too late to speak to anyone as after dark there are no staff available, you just have a key to let yourself in. The next day we again made the complaint and only then we were offered another room which we took. It wasn’t the best but it was ok. Breakfast is included but it was simple, we only had breakfast twice due to having to go out early. The one thing we really didn’t like was the attitude of the staff. When you could find them that is. When we checked out we arrived at the reception to be totally ignored by one woman sitting there, we made eye contact but not even a buon giorno. She just put her head back down and shouted out to the other woman that we were there. She just took our key, handed our invoice that was already settled before we arrived anyway and said ciao. Not even a smile!! I have never been treated like this before, to me a simple greeting is standard manners. The only plus side to this is the location is wonderful, however we won’t be visiting this establishment againMore

An incredible spot with great food and local wine (which I'm going to order for home!) A great selection of vegetarian dishes and every course is light and tasty.
