This restaurant was recommended in a French travel guide, but it already said that service was long. When we entered there were only 2 tables, so we decided to give it a try. - We waited one hour for 3 salads and 1 Lasagne, they didn't have cold beer (they finally got it from the next bodega) and the young... We arrived in a 15 people group and waited for over an hour for regular dishes. Pizzas took about 2 hours. Terrible service. They took over 30 mins to bring drinks. We are so angry we cant even write the review. Never again.

The promise of fresh local, typical ingredients with a gourmet interpretation was exciting. But the quality of dishes varied. The sopa verdura (vegetable puree) was excellent, but part of the portion of cecina (dried beef) was overcooked; the vegetables were wonderful, the service was gracious

The lunch menu is tasty and plentyful (and very cheap). Have also a look at the section "specials" of the menu. We tried several of these: all very delicious!

The owner was hard at work as manager, server, cashier, and probably in the kitchen. He made sure that we were satisfied. I enjoy everything in this small place.

After over 12 years of eating at Don Paco's it still remains my favorite place in Cajamarca. The rocotto sours are a great start to the meals. Both the Peruvian standards (lomo saltado and rocotto rellenos) and nuevo-Cajamarquino dishes are excellent and more than fairly priced for the quality and amount of food. Continued best wishes to Walter and his... More

We came here because it was highly recommended by our tour guide, what a mistake! I had the wild mushroom ravioli in cheese sauce and my husband a lomo saltado. The ravioli dish, which was out of their specialities menu, has the potential to be great but unfortunately wasn't because the mushrooms were way too sweet and the cheese sauce... More

There were 2 people for service, one watching a very load telenovela and the other beyond nonchalant. They had no idea what was on the menu and were extremely disinterested in doing their job or answering questions, although we were the only people in the resaturant. We almost walked out because of their attitude but ended up staying because they... More

Definitely a very interesting alternative. Enjoy classic international dishes with a special turn, using Andean products and local foods. Reinventing food is in!

I only spent the day in cajamarca and randomly stopped there to eat a bacon and cheese burger. Wow! The meat was incredible, one of the best burgers I had in south america! Plus, I did not have a place to put my bag for the day and i asked the chef/owner and he kindly kept it in his car... More
