Came here the other day for Sunday lunch. Can't fault the food as was lovely but the service was terrible. We sat for at least 45 minutes with the starter plate at the edge of the table and people were just walking past it. Then...More

I am pleased that you enjoyed the quality of our Sunday roast and I apologise for the shortfall in our service standards. As explanation, there was a hiccup in the kitchen regarding the delay in your main meal coming out. I don’t recall our conversation...More

Visited today with my partner for Sunday lunch. Menu was excellent and 2 courses for £15.95. The starter of prawns was delicious and both of our mains which were roast lamb and roast pork were lovely. The veg was beautifully cooked and presented. This is...More

Can only echo all the positive comments about this inn. Good parking, clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff & owners & great food (not fast but home cooked generous portions). Ideal base for visiting Hadrian’s Wall, Roman Forts & surrounding area. Will definitely be back.
