Stopped here for a drink and a snack, sea food platter for two was delicious. Salads looked amazing, lots of outdoor seating and once again the dog was welcome. View of the hills in the background, definatly going back before we go home.

Firstly, don't advertise as "warm plum spiced cider" for £3.95 if you're just going to pour half a pint of rekorderlig into a glass and heat it up for a minute, at least attempt to make it somewhat authentic. Drinks and food overpriced. We were made to feel entirely unwelcome after our walk, didn't get a single smile off either... More

We came here after doing Helvellyn for a cuppa and a pint and it was lovely. Nice little outdoor sitting area to rest your feet.

Having walked most of the day up and down Helvellyn, this little pub at the top of town was a welcome sight! We stopped for a shandy and a sit down. A traditional pub, offering basic food and drinks.

Stayed at nearby campsite with 5 friends so walked to pub for dinner. Beer is ok and nice friendly atmosphere. Food wasn't anything special, and more like a school dinner than homemade pub food! Barman dropped a garlic bread and a chip from one plate so picked them up and put them back on the plate right in front of... More
