We first visited this restaurant 4 years ago and were the only diners, sitting a huge empty room, with no atmosphere at all and 2 bored waiters pouncing on our every move, The food was OK. We decided to give it another chance to see if it had improved - if anything, it's worse, although there is now some background... More

Are there any Jacques Tatti fans out there? If so this becomes a pilgrimage for viewers of "Vacances" The owner in the guise of head wIter is straight out of the restaurant scenes, even the background music is akin to that of the movie. This place is an absolute delight. It is a must go! I haven't even started about... More

My family and I stumbled across EL Guia whilst checking out the train times to Palma. The menu published was just what we fancied so duly booked a table for 8. When we got back to our villa we checked the reviews on trip advisor which to be honest were mixed so we was not entirely sure what we where... More

En route to the train station we saw the signs for this Hotel / restaurant. My interest had been piqued by the varying reviews and we decided to have a look at the menu which looked great - and book a table. We arranged a time - curiously the waiter did not want our name. We felt it could be... More

We love staying at El Guia. Restaurant is wonderful, breakfasts are creative and service is excellent. The location is perfect next to the Ferrocarril station and a couple blocks to the square.

In a town that suffers from too many tourists who are content to put up with bad food, El Guia stands out as a beacon to good cooking. When I ordered local prawns the Maitre d' advised against them, although they were the most expensive thing on the menu. What I had -- sea bass -- came with the most... More

This is a must go to if you want to get the experience of old style restaurant service. So pleasant, yet never in servitude. We have so far dined here twice and intend to once more before we leave Soller. We are working our way through the menu and so far everything has been excellent. We went with the Maitre'd... More

Having walked out of ca'n boquesto due to terrible customer service we arrived here late (9.30pm). What a difference! Waiters were attentive and made excellent suggestions of what to eat and drink. This place is a time warp but great food and service and about 50% cost of what we had expected to pay for dinner. Not a negative in... More

Yes, the place is in a time warp. Yes, the maître'd is somewhat over attentive. Yes, he never smiles and lacks personality. But the food is of the highest order and plentiful and is exceptionally good value. We had starters of marrow stuffed with spinach, covered in a sauce which the maître'd recommended we share. This was followed by a... More
