We have visited the Tanne many times over the years, and usually book at least once every trip. It's a good place to eat, and can support quite large groups. Service is usually good, and there is an extensive menu. In winter there is normally a roaring fire or two to add to the atmosphere.
This trip we booked twice in a week and were able to reserve the same table each time by eating relatively early in the evening. Food quality in our opinion is a bit better than most other Mehanas in Bansko.
We would recommend the Shashlik dishes for sharing or for those with a big appetite.

We are eating at this Mehana since 2014 , very good food and service ! The fish is great and also the grilled vegetables . I liked also the wine . I love also how the garden look’s like . I’m sure that also the hotel is great

Great atmosphere, traditional decor, kind staff, tasty food... Easy place to find, very big parking lot in front of the mekhana. It smells really good, and the meat was delicious.

We were staying in the hotel, so mostly ate in the upstairs restaurant (or went out into the old town), but on the first night we were directed down to the mekhane. I really regretted ordering the 'chicken schnitzel' (which I had thought would be a fairly simple and safe option) which bore no resemblance to chicken in either shape, texture, colour or taste and was quite the worst thing I have tasted for years, and actually made me feel quite ill - I couldn't finish it..

This was our favourite tavern in Bansko but has changed owners since our last visit. The 2 waitresses are excellent but sadly the kitchen isn't. Food below average, we were kept waiting for an hour for our main and then it came up cold and over cooked. Kids screaming and generally an unpleasant experience. Shame

Entered the place and ordered our food, which was amazingly cheap!
Took it about 10 minutes and the food was great with relatively big portions. Friendly staff aswell.

Worth walking pass the mass of fast food outlets with bright lights to this Mekhana. Traditional decor and big big fire, with friendly staff and good service. We enjoyed another great meal (fourth year in Bansko/fourth visit to Tanne). We are sash (traditional Bulgarian dish of meat and/or vegetables served on a sizzling hotplate) fans and this was one of the best we had all week. House wine was decent for the price.

I saw the comments and thought its a great place for dinner, but i was wrong..
The dishes were average, not more than that. The meat was overdone, and the only thing i liked is the mulled wine. But the service was ok, and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend to check other places

Cannot stress how amazing this place is. The staff was simply incredible. Food was amazing, prices very reasonable and to top it up we had live music.
Quiet location away from Bansko main streets. Lovely traditional food.
Highly recommend it.

Food was terrible , the services also terrible I ask waiter to put the food that my son didn’t eat to take away and he throws two plastic boxes on the table and sais “ put it yourself “ . We had HB at Tanne hotel for 3 person and all the time for child the portion was half than ours . ( you have picture with ice cream for adult and for child) . Every dinner food ordered was brought between 1.30 hours to 2.30 hours and after that the waiter said “don’t worry be happy “ .

The food here is very good but not outstanding. We love the ambience, the wooden beams, roaring fire and the incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. We are made to feel like old friends when we go here.

We visited the restaurant with 6 years old kid, waited more than 40 min for the food to arrive. Ordered spaghetti with sea food - tasteless; broccoli soup - there was a tiny piece of broccoli in it, most of it was some white substance, very similar to an instant soup in a package; chicken curry - not even close to curry or any spice at all. Slow service, the waiter was pretending he doesn't see us.
The worst dining experience for years!

We visited the place Saturday night. The service was extremely slow. We waiting over 40min for a soup! Simple portions are overpriced.

We loved to have our supper at this resturant.
The waiters were friendly and professional.
The food was so tasty, we've finished all to the last crumbs.
Also, It has large variety of different dishes.
A bit expensive comparing to Bulgarian price rates.

We visited here once for drinks and a locally prepared dinner. We were not disappointed. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money in a lovely outdoor location. There is also a large in door dining area.
