Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great food and service at this restaurant. Our table had Cobb Salad, Fettuccine Alfredo, Brisket and creamy tomato Parmesan pasta and all was delish! Would definitely go back.

We loved everything we had at this little restaurant. I had the chicken salad salad- crisp fresh greens. Hubby loved his Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Marvelous onion rings and terrific homemade bread with honey butter. All very inexpensive and friendly service.

Wow! This was a wonderful find. We had amazing service and food. I had the chef salad with in-house smoked brisket. Wow! The subtle mix of the smoked meat and their home-made croutons was excellent. A hint of salt from the croutons just took the...salad over-the-top for me. My family club sandwich which I sampled. Yum! My wife had the Tilapia. It too was very tasty. Very quaint place and would definitely return! Prices were very fair!More

There were 16 of us that stopped here at The Grapevine for lunch. They had a large variety of choices on food. So everyone could find something they liked. It was very good. The waitress was wonderful and kept up with all of us and...had a great attitude the whole time. The manager (or maybe owner) kept out and checked on all of too. We sat out on the patio and it was a perfect day to do so. A VERY good experience all around!!More

Stopped with my family after multiple friends suggested it. This was the worst meal of my life. Service was so slow. The water, lemonade, and coffee all had a metallic dirt like taste. Like there was something wrong with the pipes. The grilled chicken was...not good. The fried chicken tasted like fish. The service was awful. Took over 20 minutes before our order was taken. Couldn't get refills or bread. It was terrible. Fast food would have been better. Spent almost $50 for a horrible meal. I would do 0 stars if I could, but it made my choose at least one.More

Pros and cons. Had lunch. Food was good but a little greasy and nothing special. To be fair, maybe it's just the culture, but just seems to have a lackadaisical attitude toward food prep throughout this area of Ark. Similar experience at other little cafes....Bread brought to the table was burned black on the top; literally the crust was completely charred; the rest of the bread was good though, and they brought honey butter with it, but had to peel off the black part. Had a Reuben. It was good but skimpy; thin bread, thin filling. Son ordered just a baked potato only and it came with a little butter and sour cream; nothing else. No cheese, green onion or bacon bits as is customary in our area. Other son got hamburger and onion rings and the bun looked really good; looked like an artisan bread roll. Spouse and I split the Reuben and onion rings. So, 2 full meals and a baked potato, plus 2 teas, 1 lemonade and 1 water was between $30-$40. Overpriced for the quality. Dining room looked a little run down and the bathroom toilet paper strongly reeked of old smoke. After reading reviews, I was expecting a little more. Waitress was very nice and service was adequate. I probably wouldn't go back just because of the expense.More

Not too many places to eat in Pais, AR. Basic and not anything that rocked my socks. Decor is a little dated and needs help.

Delicious homemade food with a very reasonable price point. The service was prompt and friendly and the portions were enough that I had leftovers. Their homemade bread was AMAZING. We will definitely go back whenever we hike at Mount Magazine.

The service during our visit was provided by the local volleyball team doing a fundraiser. While that limited us on refills and such, we'd still go back again on our next visit. Great food and pleasant staff. Very reasonable pricing. We had the hamburger steak...and fried catfish. They even serve fresh bread. Worth another trip, for sure.More

Breakfast portions were quite generous; two biscuits were given for an entree. Need to ask for honey butter to put on the biscuits; the restaurant does not give it automatically with breakfast.

Worth the drive from Little Rock. The brisket and fettuccine were both very good. Bread pudding and coconut pie for dessert were also good. My dad's family is from Paris and I spent time there growing up. It was interesting to eat again in the...old Cecil's 22 Cafe.More

We ate here on a trip to Mt. Magazine State Park. It took about 25 minutes to drive down from the lodge, but it was so worth it, we actually ate here 3 times on a 2-day trip! The staff are very friendly & greeted...us when we entered. We were invited to sit where we liked & ended up with a sweet young lady named London, (yes, we chuckled about that with her, since we were in Paris) for our server. I'm so glad we sat in her area! She was helpful, as we told her we had never been there before, & honest in sharing what she had tried herself & hadn't. But she was knowledgeable as well & knew all about their extensive menu & was able to answer all our questions. Now, after you order your drinks, they bring you a basket of their homemade bread, which I understand they bake every morning, & some soft honey butter to spread on it. May I just say, wow!! It was SO good!!! It would have been worth the drive just for that. That first night I had their smoked brisket dinner with their house made fries & baked beans. The brisket was absolutely delicious! It was so tender, I just cut it easily with my fork. It had just the right amount of smoke, as I don't like meat too smoky, & I didn't even need the sauce that was served with it. I let my husband try a bite, & he agreed it was wonderful. He isn't a big brisket eater, he says it's usually too dry, but he thought this was perfectly moist & very flavorful. I loved the house made fries. I didn't care for the baked beans, as I forgot to ask if they had bell pepper in them, (they did) but my husband liked them, & he gave me his pinto beans, which I really enjoyed. My husband had the Santa Fe Quesadilla (without the corn) & loved it. The next night (also in London's station) I had their house made chicken salad, which is a scoop of chicken salad served on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, etc. It also comes with 2 slices of crunchy garlic toast made from their homemade bread. I chose their house made poppy seed dressing, which is one of my favorite dressings, & theirs was one of the best I've ever tasted! The tomatoes were fresh & ripe, & it was not a problem for me to have the bell peppers left off. My husband had the chef's salad & loved it. The next day, our last before heading home, we had lunch there. We shared the delicious club sandwich, which they claim on the menu is big enough for 2, & it was! And another order of their house made fries. Our server that day was also very attentive & friendly. Sorry I don't remember her name! We were never able to eat all of the bread they bring, because they serve you so much food, but I packed it up & took it with me every time. That last day our server brought me a to go box with 4 more slices in it & some more honey butter. I have enjoyed every last bite of it! We are planning a trip back to the area later this year to see the fall colors, a two & a half hour drive for us, & we are definitely going to eat at the Grapevine!!More
