Good food at reasonable prices. We sat at one of the huge windows facing the valley below and enjoyed our meals in a quiet, but family-friendly setting.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast of Ham, eggs, biscuits and gravy. It was foggy and rainy or the view would been outstanding but still nice anyway. Friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere.

We spent our entire Christmas weekend in a cabin here at Petit Jean. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our cabin was spacious and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace each night. We enjoyed taking our kids on multiple trails and enjoyed all the beautiful scenery this state park has to offer. The look outs are truly breathtaking. We also... More

This was our first trip to Petit Jean State Park and was told to go to Mather Lodge to eat. So glad we did as the food was excellent....but it wasn't just the food...it was the excellent service given to us by Brittney Roe our server! She was a doll, made the meal that more enjoyable! The Lodge is so... More

Over priced and no flavor! Had the hot roast beef looked like the mashed potatoes were made last week and the beef was dried out and warmed over a few times before! Take a picnic lunch if you go! The park is great! Friend had a ham and cheese sandwich that was made out of this mornings DRY ham!

Mather Lodge has rooms in the lodge that are small but clean and adequate. There are also yurts and small cabins to rent. The lodge has grand fireplaces and a great room for playing games and working puzzles or reading by the fire. The Thanksgiving Dinner buffet was good, busy and crowded. The rest of the meals we ate at... More

In an out of the way state park, on the top of a mountain, isolated from the masses, it is difficult to hire and maintain optimum performers, talented chefs, and employees that can get to work in all kinds of weather. The breakfast buffet is okay, the meals are edible for the most part, filling, and palatable to the hungry... More

Description
Enjoy a delicious meal in the rustic warmth of Mather Lodge's main dining room. Large windows frame the view of rugged Cedar Creek Canyon, scenery highlighted each evening by a dramatic sunset. A meeting room (50-person capacity) that can also accommodate small banquets is nearby. This recently renovated portion of Mather Lodge mirrors the 1930s Adirondack-style architecture of the original portions of this historic treasure that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and expanded by the Works Progress Administration.
The main dining room seats up to 104 persons.
The restaurant is open daily.
