Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Since I eat Gluten Free, she verified with the cook that the corn tortillas were “sin trigo” (without wheat). We both got steak tacos (three) which were excellent and came with avocado & cilantro. We ordered guac &...chips for an appetizer which were also quite good (generous serving of guac but my husband wished there was more salsa so maybe ask for a second). We ate there twice. and we’d recommend this place!More

You guys should review the prices at the menu, paying a brugal (local rum) shot for almost 8 dollars is expensive.

This restaurant is a must try! Delicious and good portions. Just a few steps away from the resort's and a safe neighborhood

The service was great, though it wasn’t busy when we were there. We were very hungry and the tacos were more of an appetizer than a Main. Very small and overpriced… also the prices were not the same on the check as listed on the...menu so watch out! The food was average and I wouldn’t go back. I had high expectations but left still quite hungry.More

So if you’ve ever had tad tacos in Texas, California, or Mexico, you will be disappointed with the food - you’re just spoiled with good Mexican food. I personally didn’t find the food great and thought there were better options nearby so I took a...star off. I took another star off for service. I was super disappointed in our waitress (I believe her name is Miranda), she didn’t really check on us at all. She was constantly outside trying to get customers inside, mind you the entire restaurant was already packed, and she be better off trying to increase her tip. We had to ask for water, Utensils, our order, and on top of that food came out cold, so I knocked another star off. The three remaining stars I think are fine for this establishment as you’re really just coming here for the atmosphere and the drinks.More

Our food was great (we had a shrimp ceviche, some guacamole and swordfish carpaccio), and it wasn't as slow as other reviews make it out to be, even though the house was full. Bill ended up at around RD$2100 with non-alcoholic drinks. Our entree (the...guacamole) arrived after the main cold dishes, which was a bit of a letdown. None of the staff was wearing masks. Waiters either had their mask down or didn't have one on at all. Same for the bartender and a dude who looked like he was the owner. There was a live performance from a Michael Jackson cover artist and it was pretty entertaining, though he was touching guests more than I would be comfortable during a pandemic. There was no hand sanitizer readily available (not sure if they had it on request because I had my own). If you're not from the US, pay attention to the 28% that will be added to your bill in taxes! Even though there's a "service tax", it doesn't mean it's a tip.More

Excellent food and staff. The tacos are great. The Wakamole (hahaha) is great too. Nice place with occasional live music. My favorite place in Bavaro.

Wacamole has changed ownership in 2020. Now managed by owner/operator Ulysses. We went to Wacamole at 7:15, group of 11 (6adults, 5 children) and were seated at 7:30. Ulysses took our drink/apps order and brought it out at 8:00PM. At 8:10, we called him to...order dinner and he said the kitchen is closed as restaurant cannot serve food past 9:00 (Covid curfew rules). But he never told us when we arrived about the kitchen closing at 8:10 nor did he inform us at 7:30 when seating us to place dinner order. We were simply flabbergasted by his incompetence and we had children who were hungry and we had to leave the restaurant without food. All this while waitresses were busy serving food to other tables to guests who had arrived after us. PATHETIC SERVICE. I would not even give them 1-star (that’s the lowest).More

I think it’s about a 10 min car ride or a 45 min walk on the beach but u might want to ask someone at your hotel to confirm. It does get quite busy on Wednesday nights because of the entertainment & parking is very limited... More
