Lobster made right

One of my favorite finds in DR. A small restaurant right on the beach complete with sunbeds, shady areas , great service And a lobster that makes you want to drive an hour every day. Their fish and Coco is amazing as it comes with the crab risotto that I’m dying to make it home. The guys who work there, above and beyond to make every experience spectacular We finally returned after five months of them being closed ,we were so grateful to see that the owners have kept on the staff , and taken the time they were closed to do some small renovations to the place making it even more special. If you’re driving from PC or La Romana to the airport and you want to stop off for a great lunch this is an awesome spot to do it If you’re spending some time in the capital and wanna go out to the beach just take a Uber right there. You can easily get an Uber back to the city having done so many times myself. The beach is clean and it’s a great way to spend the day

Very good food and nice service.

Very good food and nice service. We sat on beach with nice breeze. I had shrimp risotto which was fantastic and my daughter had some of the best French fries I’ve ever had. It’s not cheap but I’d say it was well worth it. Nice guests and friendly atmosphere. Ever the hawkers left us with a simple no gracious. Well done folks!

Misleading

I decided to visit this restaurant based on pictures I had seen on Instagram. Upon arriving there I realized the outdoor part of the restaurant is in a public beach. We sat on the outdoor part and the plastic tables were dirty and menus were worn out. The inside looks nice. I can’t rate the food as we decided to leave. It was very loud and crowded on the beach part.

Awful the service slow the portions small expensive and they don’t accept credit card

Awful I had lunch here with my family the is expensive for the quality and the portions. My husband order Dorado fish grilled no vegetables no salad just plain fish with fries and very small. I order a soup it taste good but the vegetables went cook. Service was very slow. I won’t recommend it. They don’t accept credit card . Just cash BE AWARE!

Octopus bay restaurant Juan dolió

I wanted to visit this restaurant because looks nice on the beach picture looks nice my Airbnb hosts recomendé because is close to casa del sol condominium. Well he got in get a table Oder margaritas for 3 appetizers dinner food was great. But when I ask for the ticket to pay and give them my credit card. They said well the credit card machine is not working you have dollars 💵 I said this not make sense because tourists always pay with credit card if you are not taking credit card you need to tell people before you Sid them. Well then they said we will charge 18% for using the credit card. That make not sense Look at the pictures of ticket and see the charge. I wanted to reserve a table for my birthday with my family and friends today of 14 people because of that I will find another place poorly service

Awful service, average food, expensive and not worth it, plus you get charged more for your food if you want to pay with a credit card. STAY AWAY from this place!

Octupus bay restaurant is a best place to enjoy with couple, the best taste food from the area excellent service and lovely atmosphere. They have to improve the bathroom service more chic and cleaned.

Looks nice but food is so so

Went there for lunch on may 10 2017 because it looked nice and clean. Ordered two whole fish 3 beers and a side of rice for 92 US dollars. Quite expensive I thought. The fish was overcooked and heavily salted(to me it was to mask the freshness). The atmosphere is nice due to tables right by the beach. Overall I'd recommend eating somewhere else.

The place to go in Juan Dolio

Years ago when I started visiting the DR I would have loved to have had a nice beachfront restaurant to go to. Here in the DR one is pounded with loud ever louder playing music that rattles the nerves. Having just returned from this restaurant, I am pleased to report the following: - it is away from the hoards of humanity that walk the beach in search of the naive tourist that will she'll out money for worthless trinkets. - service was very good. I can't give it an excellent, as it does not meet criteria of a five star dining experience. However, it is a very nice, relaxing place for a meal. - food was good. Not excellent as my chicken was a little dry. Those who,had the spaghetti were happier. - for the overall area, the meals were approximately 30% pricier.

Very clean, well done and great staff, the food is phenomenal, lots of Caribbean choices , fresh fish and more, good choices of fresh juices, great prices ..they view out of this world
