Visited the Courtroom Cafe with friends for lunch week before last and decided to go for a good looking pastie along with some salad. The tea was promptly delivered and was a good brew, but must admit that I was disappointed with the meal when the pastie arrived, because although hot, it was very soggy pastry. Can only assume that... More

We had a very tasty and meaty chicken ham and leek pie with delicious pastry, served with a wide selection of fresh salad. The food is all home cooked and is excellent value for money. There's a wide choice of sandwiches, paninis and more, and tempting-looking cakes. It's all well set out and the staff are friendly. It's upstairs and... More

We were fortunate to be able to get a seat in the Court Room Café recently. Normally we get to the top of the flight of stairs only to discover the café is packed with people. However, they have now opened an extra room ,albeit small, which gives extra space to sit. Today, however,we sat in the main room and had coffee... More

We dropped into the Court Room Cafe for a late-morning coffee and cake. Whilst it was busy we found a couple of chairs on the end of a table and partook of nice filter coffee and delicious Upside Down Pineapple cake. The cafe is welcoming and good value for money. It has a lift (elevator) for disabled access and there... More

Only called in for tea and cake but the experience means we will be back next time we are in area. The prune and ginger slice was superb. Nice service and well worth a visit. This place gets very busy at lunch time as last time we were in the town, we couldn't get in.

Went in for full English or should this be full cooked Welsh breakfast which they serve until 11.00 am. Nicely prepared and presented with good quality ingredients especially the sausages. Coffee only average. Not so keen on the actual room which was once a magistrates court, a bit large and echoey and not very warm.

The Court Room Cafe is our destination if we are around Crickhowell for the day and fancy something different. NO CHIPS! I particularly enjoy the chicken and leak pie. The salads are superb also an array of deserts that will meet anyone's tastes. Well worth a visit.

Good is always consistent and good home cooking. Nice selection of savoury products and cakes and at good prices. Staff are always happy and please to serve. What more could you ask for

The jacket potatoes itself was nice but the tune and 'mayo' was distasteful! Plus watery... The salad we had on the side was horrific, one leaf and squashes, not fresh looking tomatoes! I was shocked as the local produce in Crickhowell is well spoken for. The coffee wasn't bad but was bland and I had to put several sugars in... More
