We stopped for a meal, just before returning home, on a Saturday night. There were two other couples dining and a party of about ten. We were told that they weren't sure... More

The food quality and quantity were only moderate as was the service which came as a disappointment as the Affcot Lodge was specifically suggested to me.

We came here expecting a good meal having visited previously but the standard has unfortunately dropped whereas the cost has increased. Staff were friendly enough but overall the food quality and cost let it down. Shame.

Thought we should stop as Lunchtime calls, very helpful bar staff and prompt food order. The mains all start around or above £10 but the quantity matched the cost so not too worried. Time to wait very similar to other pubs and the food very much in their own style which is great, not just another slap it on a... More

We went for lunch for a special ocassion to celebrate my grandparents birthday and can honestly say it was poor from the minute we put our order in. The waitress was polite but some how our orders were completely messed up. We waited at least 40 minutes, which we wouldnt of minded for good quality food but what we were... More

The prices might lead you to think that the facilities are of a higher standard than they are. We were advised that the rooms had been refurbished but you could have fooled me. The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable but the noise of traffic on the main road penetrated even to a room not at the front of the... More

Visited as a large group for family dinner. The food was amazing, full of flavour, good portions for both adults and children. Puddings were yum, I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Sadly the place was dead, a few locals were in and only 1 other table. I felt uncomfortable with all the locals sat at the bar. I also... More
