Four of us stopped off for a light snack to break our journey and this was a very welcome break. Delicious freshly made sandwiches were quickly provided and nicely presented together with a refreshing pot of tea. The staff were extremely pleasant and the surroundings very comfortable. We would certainly recommend this place.

We called for lunch at the Copper Kettle to break our journey to board a cruise on the river Severn and we're very lucky to stumble upon this delightful tearooms. A lovely quaint café you feel as though you are sitting in someones cottage. The lady that served us was very helpful and the menu very tempting. The sandwiches, cakes... More

Passed here often on our visits to Ludlow but today decided to stop. Haven't read reviews before today of this tea shop so was surprised by the unfriendly welcome that they received in some reviews, We arrived just before the end of hot food service but were greeted very warmly although they must have been on stand down. We both... More

Called in here for a light bite to eat. Upon arrival the woman who greeted us was quite abrupt (think she was the owner). She tried to be friendly but was failing! We asked what they were serving (we arrived at approx. 3pm) and got told just sandwiches and cakes (so nothing hot) - fair enough but she wasn't apologetic... More

Took my mum here as it is so cosy with there new wood burner. My mum does not eat much but she polished off soup with a slice of Welsh rarebit and bake well and custard. Everything is home made including the lemon curd and pickle. Now my mums favourite place and mine

What a lovely surprise to find this delightful little cottage tea room. Being Americans, and looking for all things English, we were pleased with the antiques and the other home- made touches.Owner Monica was lovely and she suggested her home baked scones and homemade lemon curd! The coffee we ordered was richly brewed and the scones were delish! But the... More

On our way home from Church Stretton we called here for light refreshments. We ordered a pot of tea for two. Feeling peckish we asked to see the cakes and what was on offer, displayed on the sideboard looked very very disappointing so we took a leap of faith and ordered scones from the menu. Thankfully the scones were fresh,... More

What a pleasure it was to stop off at The Copper Kettle today - the staff were more than helpful even though it was close to lunchtime and all we had time for was a couple of cappuccino coffees - they also had a good selection of curds and chutneys so we are looking forward to our Pear and Walnut... On a planned cycle ride of 100 miles our destination was Church Stretton for 3 riders. The weather was foul from the off but warm enough at the time to continue with the plan. By the time we got to Stretton we were sodden and cold and rode past the Copper kettle. We made an instant decision to stop and... More

I visited this shambles of a place on 20th August. Me & my family had been travelling for a few hours and thought we'd stop off for a drink & food. I went in first to check if they were wheelchair friendly as we were travelling with my mother-in-law who is only accessible by wheelchair & if they had a... More
