We have visited Plantation House many times and have never been disappointed. Richard is a lovely host and Graham a very attentive and efficient maître 'd. We had yet another excellent evening yesterday when we went for my partner's birthday. From the pre-dinner drinks and nibbles, amuse bouche and home-made bread, we both had the stuffed mushroom and pork. I... More

The people and visitors of South Hams should count themselves lucky. You can visit many top class restaurants for different reasons. This one; the fantastic food, warm nature of the staff, delightful local produce and excellence in the cooking. I stayed for 2 nights and still can't work out Plantation House's best feature; the breakfast, restaurant or hotel. I'll have... More

Fell upon this place one night whilst working in the area. The host Richard and all his staff were fantastic. The food and service were excellent. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time.

This was my first visit to the Plantation House and I was delighted by the service and the food. The menu was more a la carte than budget or pub food and there was an extensive choice of alcoholic drinks. You need to book ahead!

My fiancée and I visited The Plantation house on Friday 5th February to celebrate our anniversary. This place is beautiful and incredibly well kept. We were greeted immediately and seating in the lounge by the lovely open fire, our drinks order was taken straight away, we were then presented with some nibbles and menus. Great start! It only got better... More

Just perfect from start (aperitifs by a roaring fire) to finish (home made chocolates). The food was quite delicious, every single mouthful, and the service was faultless. We will definitely return!

This is the third time spent at the Plantation House restaurant in Ermington. The previous occasions were a romantic meal for two and a family celebration with ten. Tonight's meal was for relatives who haven't yet experienced the cuisine and ambiance the Plantation House has to offer. It was like watching someone open the best Christmas present ever. To see...
