What can I say.The food, the atmosphere, surroundings and the service was absolutely FIRST class. You can smell the delicious spices as soon as you get out of the car. You are made to feel so welcome by the lovely lady who is the waitress and also the chef comes out and speaks to you.Definitely will go back.

We have been at the Journeyman quite a few times over the years and it still remains our favourite eatery in the area. The food is always excellent and well delivered in a cosy atmosphere. We should have been there back in May for our 40th anniversary but had to cancel at the last minute due to illness, but had... More

We made our annual prigrimage to the Journeyman this week, and decided we needed to sample the experience twice during our holiday. If you like a good curry, than the food produced by Steve will surpass your wildest expectations. The favours that he manages to produce are second to none, and if we lived nearer, we would be going every... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant & we would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The food was to die for & we will definately be returning back here again in the future. It was all home cooked and the flavours and choices were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Only a small place so you... More

We chose 3 courses of which all were delicious. The setting is beautiful, the restaurant is cosy and the food was second to none, a really good find. Pre booking is a must.

Me and my partner have been to the journeymen on more than one occasion and are satisfied every time. It's a lovely quiet restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. The times me and my partner have been we have been served by a young blonde waitress who is polite, friendly and very intentive. The food is fantastic every time we've been.... More

Fancied a decent curry after the being disappointed by Rick Steins hopeless effort at a Lamb Kahrahi at the Cornish Arms the previous night, we were not let down here , the Chef certainly knows how to make a good Chicken Tikka Massala , we will definitely return .

My husband and I ate here on Tuesday. The Nepalese lamb was sublime, and the beef rendang marvellous. We enjoyed the fab food, quick and courteous service, and very reasonable prices so much we booked there and then for the following Thursday. The meal was just as great and we can't wait to eat there again. Thankyou to the girls... More

Previous reviews tell you need to know about this restaurant so no point in repeating it all. Since discovering this restaurant many years ago we unfailingly book a table at The Journeyman for our annual visits to Cornwall, which is something we wouldn’t do unless we held it in high regard, particularly as this area of the country has many...
