Stopped here for drink with friends and sat outside. As it cooled down we asked for the heater to be turned on. We were told it had run out of gas, but was electric and when pointed out, we were told they would not switch...it on. Disappointing, as we would have stopped longer!More

My both sisters and I went to this restaurant the Rising sun in Coltishall Norwich on Saturday 12/6/21 at midday, and we all had a lovely meal. I would like to say that the service that we received was excellent from the manager (wore a...blue shirt) who took all the food orders and also the young gentleman (who wore a black shirt, but I don't know what is his name ) which I think that he was a team leader also delivered excellent great customer service. These two members of should be awarded something as they both went beyond with the extremely excellent customer service during the current pandemic situation. It will be great to receive a reply from the Rising Sun in Coltishall together with the names of the two members of staff mentioned in this review, which worked on Saturday 12/6 /21 at midday. I will be looking forward to receive your reply soon. Kind Regards KenMore

Have been here a few times since lockdown. The staff are always helpful and polite. The food is excellent and they do cater for dietary requirements as my gf has certain requirements which include( no dairy, no eggs, no soya) and the food she had...was great. The seem to always go above and beyond your expectations. The view across the river sitting outside is picturesque. The pub itself is lovely inside and beautifully decorated and very clean. It's really reassuring with covid restrictions that they have a well organised and well planned set up, that makes you feel safe and secure. Overall the atmosphere of the the pub is warm, friendly and relaxing. Just a very well organised pub/ restaurant. Cant praise the staff enough. Thank you for all your hard work. Mark and helenMore

Had the brisket and the loaded meat fries here sat in the sun on the broads with a couple pints of lager. I don't think you can beat it. What a great spot. Very friendly and organised staff.

Disappointing,, end of our week on a Broads cruiser, to kill time before meeting family for a meal in Kings Lynn at 7pm, we hired a day boat to cruise to This highly recommended pub, despite the horrendous wind and rain, finally arrived and moored up. Warmly...greeted and shown to a lovely table, drinks ordered,we waited for our lunch snack. Soup and maybe a dessert. The soup pea and asparagus and warm bread roll. Sadly the roll was warmer than the soup. We sent the soup back to be replaced or at least reheated,,young waitress very apologetic and took them away.20 minutes later after asking about them they magically appeared. Mine was a very full too overflowing while Mrs B,s was a mere spoonful. Cannot say we where impressed at all so paid the bill and wandered off into the wind and rain for a interesting upriver cruise back to Wroxham. Would we go back , yes as its reputation is excellent and the meals looked lovely and tempting, plus staff where lovely, just putting this down as a 1 off on a very busy rainy fridayMore

Visited this spot on the Sunday afternoon of the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. Me and my nephew arrived there about 12:30 and it was only a short wait until we were shown a table. The place was very busy but very well organised. We had...a couple of drinks and then ordered a Sunday lunch. We both had the sirloin of beef which was £15. A bit pricey but it was worth every penny. The meat was superb and there was plenty of it. The potatoes and veggies were cooked to perfection. A very nice Yorkshire pudding and lashings of lovely gravy. A very pleasant atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. Altogether a great afternoon enjoyed here. I would highly recommend this place.More

We loved our three night stay in the river view room. The room was spacious for three of us & was clean & tidy. We loved the location overlooking the river & waking up in the morning to birdsong & a quiet breakfast before the...crowds arrived for lunch. The pizzas are great, the staff super friendly & professional, we can't wait to returnMore

The staff are very attentive, the menu is great. We highly recommend the wood fired pizzas and burgers. The lighter bits tempura prawns and calamari are spectacular too. Overall the food is freshly prepared and the portions are very large. Definitely worth a visit or...two.More

This building is accessible by wheelchair through the back door. Access would be across the patio, which is flat and paved, and then through two wide doors, directly in to the bar area. There is also a disabled toilet here... More
